When we checked in, we found half empty bottle of water and dirty socks in the room when it was supposed to have cleaned, when we informed receptionist she gave the impression of not concerned. Small things like attention to detail were over looked, towels were partially thread bare, extractor not working etc.

The hotel was very clean and breakfast was pretty good. This location was packed due to a youth basketball tournament and the attendant who took care of the breakfast area was fantastic. She kept everything clean and full. Our room was clean an comfortable. I appreciate the wall mounted toiletries.

The bed was too firm for me, and I wish there was a fan in the bathroom (though the current trend at most properties seems to be no fan, for some bizarre reason)

It was rather stuffy and the AC was right next to the desk so to have the room cool, if working at the desk, it was Cold. There were multiple curly blackish hairs on both mattresses so it was questionably really clean tho the mattress pad and sheets seemed so.

Great place to stay for the price and location.

Breakfast was good (big waffle and small waffle maker), was able to get in a lot earlier than expected (12pm instead of 3pm) and very friendly and helpful staff.

Being right next to the Highway you could hear a lot but thats expected. I also couldn't find a way to have a constant fan from the air controller. Thats not a huge thing, probably just couldnt figure it out (maybe a digital display for future room update?).

Our new favorite spot to stop on a long trip

The messages from Rena before and during our stay to see that things were correct brought great comfort to us. Everyone that we encountered was pleasant and knowledgeable. We felt extremely welcomed. The bed was extremely comfortable, spacious bedroom and bathroom. We will use this facility anytime that we are in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was our second visit to this hotel. We will use it whenever we are in the area.

We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. The breakfast was well stocked and spotless. The three layers of curtains kept the room dark as well as quiet from outside noise. The bathroom and bedroom were spacious and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Will NEVER book here again.

The night manager was very rude and tried to tell me what I am "allowed" to do with my money and payment. She had the nerve to cancel my reservation. It clearly states on booking.com that you can reserve the room with a card and pay when you get there. I have done this at countless Hampton Inn's all over PA and OH and at this location before. Yet when I get there which was at least 8 minutes later, the whole story changes. She cost your hotel a ton of business. I went across the street and had a much more pleasant experience. You never know who someone might be. In my opinion, that night manager is racist and needs to be fired or removed from the property. I was even told by other staff that this is not the first complaint that she has had against her. What are you going to do Hampton Inn Erie? You should hire people that can learn to speak to other adults in a proper manner. I will never EVER book here again as long as she works there.

In my opinion, the nasty racist attitude that the night manager gave off.
