It was a decent stay at a nice hotel.

The hotel was nice and the breakfast was good. The room was pretty nice, not so spacious.

Quiet and clean

Needed a couple upgrades in the bathroom. Chips in the porcelain. Also the carpet in the stairwell was very dirty and stained.

The room was very clean, in fact the entire property was very clean, neat & tidy inside and out! The staff was very friendly and helpful, esp with dinner suggestions. Full hot breakfast was awesome!

Only improvement I can think of is that both the lamps in our room need to be replaced. They had plugs in the base which, while appreciated, were broken. It seems the side by side USB ports, because they look too much like an electrical plug, someone tried to use them as one and broke them so we had nowhere to recharge our phones until we got back in our car next morning. Easy fix!.

Additionally, we had someone come to our door and ask us if we needed fresh towels or anything else. We were blown away by the level of service at this hotel.

Nothing, we will be back to this hotel. We usually stay at the Double Tree, but the service at this property is 10X that of the Double Tree and half the price.

Comfortable stay and great value compared to other Durango hotels

On the far end of town allowing the stay to be more quiet (given the trains that travel through town). The rooms were clean and comfortable. Easy parking, even if you have a big truck.

Great location for me, the pool and hot tub were awesome.

There was a noise disturbance in the room next to me that kept me up most of the night. Local staff did their best but offering a goodie bag didn't feel adequate after I missed sleep on a business trip.

Hampton Inn knows how to treat their customers.

Everything! From the moment we walked in, until we left the staff was helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, I especially liked the size of the bathroom. The breakfast offered had a good array of food, the muffins and scones were to die for! We had a most enjoyable stay.

Stay away from this Hampton Inn Durango. You will regret if you don’t listen!

We are frequent travelers doing many long road trips across different states and Durango Hampton Inn by Hilton is truly the worst we have ever stayed. First of all, the young girl named Ashley at the front desk is courteous but not helpful or friendly. We were filling up our water bottle at the front desk as they have a water dispenser there but the water flow from the spigot was slower than a snail. Ashley heard us said “it’s so slow” but she didn’t offer anything to help or tell us we can also get our water from the breakfast area so don’t expect any going above and beyond service here. Second, when we arrived at our room and opened the door, a smell of cheap cologne hit us on the face. We had to open the window to air it out. It seems like they use cheap cologne to hide the smell of the room. Third and the most disgusting of all is the the toilet bowl. It has black mold and you can see the black ring around the water in the toilet bowl. It seems like the housekeeping just flush the toilet, wipe it down and that’s it. Truly gross, disgusting and unsanitary! Lastly, while taking a shower, the shower knob cap fell off and hit me on my head and scared the crap out of me. Even though front desk offered to switch our room or have housekeeping come to clean the toilet. We didn’t want the housekeeping to come or switch the rooms as we already unpacked our stuff and were tired from the long drive and didn’t want to be disturbed. We decided to deal with all the issues since we only stayed for one night. We shouldn’t have to deal with these problems if Hampton Inn lives up to its 100% Hampton Guarantee™. It said “Making you happy makes us happy. So, if we can make your stay better, talk to any member of our team, and we'll make sure you're 100% happy. GUARANTED.™“. Very Let Down!

Breakfast was good.

We picked this hotel over the others in the area for the hot cookies, but they lamely blamed COVID-19 (it is now 2024) for not offering cookies any longer. Then I got out my rewards info, and was told that only got me 2 bottles of water, not any of the snacks. No cookies, no snacks. Reluctantly, the counter attendant forked over 1 pack of 4 Oreos with our water. Sheesh. The ice maker was broken on our floor, there was mold in the bathroom, the aftermarket "closet" had wires and cords hanging out, most of the charger stations didn't work, the room overlooked people's homes, and there was a barking dog at one home. You get the idea. If you are in Durango, you can find a better place to stay.

Excellent. The lady handling breakfast was A++ . Worked hard keep food available, kept tables clean etc. all while handling a tour bus group. I was so impressed I tipped her $20 for my one breakfast. The actual food was good for a hotel breakfast, but the service and presentation earned my EXCELLENT.
