Colorado holiday express

Had an early flight and left message at front desk that I needed protein. Well the breakfast area was closed. The milk cabinet was locked. Finally with a lot of huff and puff the gentlemen at the front desk Finally brought some out. There should be open breakfast for early passengers. Also we were without a car. They told us we needed to walk to the closest restaurant. Also that Uber is not good. What a huge disappointment for all the money we spent for one night. We had to ask about our free water. But otherwise room was comfortable.

Black Canyon NP visit

The staff was friendly and helpful in working around construction. I was grateful they were thoughtful and had rooms at the end of the hallway. I can see the building and amenities will be great when done. Montrose was a nice town with nice people, we used Montrose as our base for a Black Canyon NP visit. Would stay again if we return.

I enjoyed the location immensely, even though they were doing a remodel. It looked fantastic.

Breakfast was very good. Jamie did a fantastic job keeping the food warm and on hand. VERY nice person! Tay at the front desk was very nice and pleasurable. All staff were very helpful.

I had asked for a handicapped room. There wasn't a safety bar in the shower or by the toilet. Because I have mobility issues and have to ride a scooter to and from the car and to my room.....I didn't feel safe. When sitting down past a certain height I cannot get up and will fall.

Honestly . . . I couldn't tell you of a better place to stay. This Holiday Inn Express is to envy.

I would have to say that the entire staff ( Especially the front desk ) went above and beyond expectations. We accidently left a few items in the room and the staff promptly called us about our overlook. They were happy to mail those items to us, as we were many miles away at that time. We have never been treated better by a Host. Give them ALL raises! Thanks!!

The only item that was 1/2 star from a 10 Star rating was the breakfast was week. Maybe we were too early? 7:00 AM. Just cinnamon rolls, a pancake maker, and coffee. Maybe improvement is already in plans. My only negative comment in a totally wonderful place to stay. This will not stop me from coming back, Thanks!

WAY WAY OVERPRICED

We really appreciated the area of town. It was around many restaurants and close to the things that we traveled to see. There was also plenty of parking so we had no issues parking near the hotel.

For what we paid, the hotel was NOT WORTH it. I picked Montrose because of the area and the smaller town feel (compared to Gunnison). However the beds were uncomfortable, breakfast was very minimal and we couldn't use the tv because most of the stations were not avaliable (for families). For about $300 a night it was NOT WORTH IT>

Staff was friendly, we had a problem, and they did resolve it by giving us another room, but it did mean transferring everything.

Our first room wasn't completely clean. The bathroom was dirty. Dirty towels, hair in the tub, toilet paper in the toilet, and a bar soap on the sink. The parking is not easy to access, the parking lot is terrible with a lot of potholes be have to be careful walking, handicapped parking was further away than a lot of regular parking.

The pool and spar were wonderful.

It was noisy in the morning with guests leaving early and the ice machine was just outside our room. We were offered a choice of floors and had we known maybe the top floor would have been better
