Good location
The bed was making a lot of noise like the frame may have been compromised. The hot water and coffee was lukewarm. The eggs were runny and not hot.

The breakfast was good. Always enjoy the waffles and some fruit. There was a wide variety to please everyone. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We appreciated the checkin desk who recommended “The Local on 17” restaurant years ago. That is truly why we make our stop at exit 87 in Richmond Hill on our way south every year.
I can’t really think of anything.

We loved the location. It was perfect for a first day destination on the way to Highlands, NC the next day. We did not go into Savannah, but it was doable. Instead we ate at a restaurant on the river called Fish Tales. It had great food and was a fun place for local fare.
Really it was perfect for our needs

Location. Nice room.
Breakfast was very limited and ended at 9am, way too early for those on vacation.

Not long enough. I missed breakfast because it was over at 9am.
The property was comfortable but it is dated.

Not enough tables for the amount of people trying to eat
Breakfast was disappointing. I hate using community milk! It was in a pitcher that everyone poured out of. Milk was room temperature at best! No variety of yogurt flavors and they were also room temperature. Not safe to eat in my opinion! Milk should have been in individual cartons in a refrigerator and so should the yogurt been in a refrigerator not in a bowl with some ice below it! Package eggs were runny and sausage was just warm. Very disappointing!
Room had a big gap under door and around the door frame. The lights from the hall were shining in so the room was too lit to sleep. This also made it very noisy! I could block the light with a towel shoved on the floor for the bottom part but there was no way to block the light coming in from around the whole door frame! Mattress was lumpy and sunk in from where people had layed.

Overall Experience: 4 out of 5 stars
I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn right off I-95 in Richmond as a backup option during my family reunion weekend—and I have to say, it turned out to be a really good choice overall.
What I Liked:
• Clean Property: The hotel was overall very clean, and the atmosphere was calm and quiet—no loud kids or chaotic crowds, which I appreciated, especially with my toddler.
• Friendly Staff: The front desk staff were kind and welcoming. I want to especially shout out the lady working the breakfast area—short, white woman, incredibly nice, helpful, and quick to respond to anything we asked for. She kept the area spotless and made breakfast feel like a pleasant experience.
• A Great Backup Choice: I originally booked a hotel in Glenville, closer to the family reunion, but their pool wasn’t working, and it was bike week—lots of traffic I didn’t want to deal with. The Hampton Inn ended up being a quiet and convenient backup I’m glad we found.
• Pool Condition: Unfortunately, the pool was unusable. It had a large number of dead gnats floating in it, and there was no way I was letting my toddler anywhere near that water. It felt unsafe and unclean. We ended up going to a local community center in Glenville instead, which was only $3 to enter and had a clean, heated pool—so that worked out well.
• Room Door Safety/Noise Concern: We were on the second floor near the elevator, and there was a large gap under our door. That made me uncomfortable for both safety and noise reasons. It felt like someone could easily slip something under the door or listen in. To fix it, we used extra towels to block the gap ourselves.
• Drainage Issues in the Tub: The tub drained very slowly, which was frustrating, especially when multiple people had to shower. I understand it’s an older hotel, but it’s still something I hope they fix. Standing in ankle-deep water during a shower is not ideal.

The cleaniess of the hotel! Check in staff (can't remember his name) was extremely helpful and courteous. We did have one situation where the children staying a floor above us was making so much noise that my husband had to go to the room and tell the mother!

This Hampton Inn needs a deep scrub. This dirty. I had another persons hair in my tub. The top bedding was dirty.
Lobby trash cans dirty on outside. Floor molding dirty. Elevators dirty. Old and tired.
Waters not offered upon check in.
It is awful!
Everything needs to be deep cleaned. There is garbage outside guests doors that remained there all night and visible in morning.

Stayed at this property many times in the past. It's location to the I 95, good restaurants, Gas stations etc is ideal. Like all Hampton Inns it is clean, tidy and comfortable. The breakfast is more than adequate and the quality is surprisingly good.
The rainy weather and oppressive humidity and heat But then I live in Florida so........!
