My bed hurt my back :(

I visited Bich Dao during Covid time and back again during an extended business trip. I love so many things about this place, from cozy and clean room with essential oil scent when entering (I have allergy so very sensitive with artificial oil but didn’t happen at all during my stay that’s how I know if the essential oil is good quality), to the cozy kitchen and dining room at the back, the good thing quality and good selection of drinks from La Mappa cafe in front, but most of all, the people. The staffs are super friendly and helpful, close enough to notice when I need help but also respectful to the personal space.

There is nothing to not like the place.

Breakfast on second and third morning very basic: almost all juices were unavailable, only white bread with egg and jam, no fresh fruit, no croissant. No buffet formula on second and third morning. Why not ask the evening before the choices for the breakfast? Very disappointing breakfast.

- Good location: not too busy, close to Crazy House, the 3rd summer palace - Romantic garden, romantic room design. - Friendly helpful staff - Mappa cafe is a nice addition to the property.

- NO WATER!!! 1st day no water, we have to call out to staff for maintenance. 2nd day no hot water during evening time. 3rd day no water morning time. - Sound Proof and door problem. No sound proof. All the doors have issue and to close it guests have to slam it shut. Imagine having to listen to all guest slamming their doors shut while you’re staying to sleep… I had a stay at Bich Dao in 2018 and fell in love with this cosy romantic cottage. The place became popular thanks to influencers. Came back in 2023 just to see the quality plummeting…
