As my friend and I were deciding on our trip in the post-hurricane time, we made several calls to Castle Kiahuna Plantation. The staff kept assuring us that the facility is fully operational. That was not the case. The beach services were non-existant, the guest laundry was not working, constant heavy equipment was noisy starting at seven o’clock in the morning. Of great concern was the lack of proper lighting on the foot paths after dark. The bath tub in the unit was extremely slippery but no rubber mat was provided. In short, there were minimal if any resort services , yet we were charged full amount of the resort fees. Very disappointing.
