Our room is on the first floor and our “window” faces the internal hallway I.e. the corridor of the conference rooms so basically we can never open the shades or anyone walking around in the hotel can look into our room. We might as well have no window in the room.

The property was great. The room was great. The people were very friendly

Your breakfast is atrocious. None of it was good. The fruit was bad the bananas were rotten, the muffins and the bagels were stale and the eggs were bad. The fruit did not taste good.

I won't stay here again

room was decent and clean

Horrific nauseating smell of solvent as you entered the building due to tile being laid. Staff not particularly friendly. Room/bathroom lighting was so dim that it was difficult to see when preparing to go out. I wanted to open the curtains to let in more light, but room faced right into the breakfast/food area and people could come right up to our window and look in, so the curtains had to stay closed. Went back to the lobby to meet family checking in and they had to wait 15/20 minutes for the one person ahead of them in line who had some kind of problem with their card and had to go out to their car while we were waiting (in the nauseating solvent smell). Only one regular coffee pod in the room, the rest were decaf or tea. Breakfast was bland, tasteless and the pecan roll was stale. Also, usually hotels slip the receipt under the door so you don't have to check out but not here. The hotel was certainly aware of the migraine inducing chemical smell and should have tried to make this good without us having to complain about it. I stay at Terre Haute hotels pretty regularly and I will not be staying here again.

Check in was super easy, the attendant was super nice and helpful

When using the shower the drain backed up to almost overflowing. The curtains only closed over 2/3 the window and the lighter curtains didn't block enough of the parking lot lights

The location, the staff, the free breakfast was good.

The walk in shower was horrible. No water pressure, the drain took forever and there was black mold around the bottom and in the corners. Also the water pipe coming into the shower head was leaking. The whole walk in shower should be replaced.

Enjoyable and comfortable.

It was nice and had a nice pool for the kids. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean.

The hot tub was out of order and I paid extra to stay here thinking I could enjoy a hot tub while my kids played in the pool. The friendly staff told me that they have told booking.com that the hot tub was not operational but the website has not updated photos or taken that off the amenities list which I searched for.

I had requested a king size bed and received two queen beds. The pool and hot tub were both not working so unable to use either. The breakfast was good but was looking forward to pancakes and there were none.

False advertisement, Very misleading Elevators broke, Hot tub broke, and pool was not heated. Ice cold. For the price I paid, I expected a heads up on some of this stuff not working but instead I got a whole attitude from the desk clerk And apparently if you book thru booking. com you are unable to get any of your money back. . There was a few unhappy families there as well

This was a "low effort" forgotten property that needs a thorough cleaning and updated furnishings.

Very delicious breakfast with staff "on the ball" delivering hot fresh items. I noticed one gentleman, maybe the kitchen manager bringing fresh food items out. The beverages stayed full and all surfaces stayed wiped off.

Room had a mirror almost coming loose off the wall. Thankful I was not traveling with children who could have pulled off the mirror and injured themselves. The door/cabinet covering the mini fridge was broken and hung open. I was fearful of knocking my leg when getting up in the dark to go to the restroom. I took photos of both of these items. The lack of a black out curtain section over the heating unit and just a sheer curtain forced me to get creative by pinning the curtain CLOSED to avoid a bright street light keeping us awake!!! Trash in hallways. Stayed there ALL night. No staff removing til housekeeping arrived in the AM. Towels were so thin you could barely dry off!

Location and breakfast

Room 102 is right by the elevator. There is a large gap in the door so you can hear every conversation in the hallway. This room should not be rented to guests. It took forever to fall asleep. There was a storm and we were awakened at 5:00 am to employees yelling, panicking and cussing. I went over to look out the peephole and stepped in a pool of water. Water was gushing in the room. I called the front desk after several minutes to make sure we were safe. The yelling and commotion continued. The water stretched to our bed, some of our stuff got wet and we had to wear shoes in our room. We were never able to get back to sleep. Paid over $220 for one night and slept maybe 4 hours. We received apologies as we were checking out and were told that the GM would be taking care of us. A week later, I received a $46 credit on my account. I think the whole room should have been compensated and would’ve told the GM this if ANYONE would have reached out to me. Very disappointed.

Exceptional

Loved everything. Loved how Lonestar was right in the same building & got a discount for staying at the hotel. Beds were real comfortable. Fell asleep almost immediately. Loved how the had shampoo, conditioner & bodywash in full bottles for us to use. We had Dove products. It was surprisingly quiet even with the interstate right there beside it

The kids screaming in the pool & the smell of chlorine filled the 1st floor. Also no ice machine on the 2nd floor

A nice Holiday Inn.

The good sized pool, the breakfast, comfy beds, clean room, extremely nice front desk staff, quiet overall, easy to find off interstate.

Our mini fridge didn’t seem to keep anything cold, and the hot tub, though technically hot, didn’t seem to be fully functioning.
