Apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We especially appreciated that dogs were allowed and having the washer/dryer available (for a fee) at that stage of our trip. Location was excellent—across the road from one of Port Hood’s many beaches. Restaurant tip: The Clove Hitch restaurant has good food and service, and is one of the few we came across that allows dogs on the patio.
Understand that you are in someone’s basement apartment. While this one had plenty of light and high ceilings, the noise transfer was significant, including footfalls, items dropping, and entire conversations. Frankly it wouldn’t have bothered us much except that our very alert dog spent the first day adapting to it, with some, but not complete, success.

The location of this apartment is wonderful being walking distance to two of the five beaches in Port Hood. The accommodation was spacious and clean. The pull down bed in the living room was comfortable and the hostess was very friendly. Would recommend!
Being a basement suite, there was a little noise from above but that's expected and honestly, it wasn't that bad.

Looking at the property on line ,we assumed that on could see the beach. This was a basement apartment with no view of the water. Very disappointing. There should have been some type of railing going down the steps. The bedding was washed in scented soap. Really!
