It is in a perfect location and the staff are very friendly and it’s very very clean!

It’s more on the dated side but for the location and price there’s not much to complain about!

Very cute vintage style hotel. My room was updated and very comfortable with a beautiful oceanfront view. Location was amazing! I was solo, so there were plenty of places for me to walk to right on the boardwalk. Definitely my new spot to travel for a quick getaway.

The water from the shower, leaked through the glass door all over the bathroom floor! Had to wedge a towel under shower door when taking a shower.

Shower was a pain in the ass because of where the dispensary soap/conditioner/body wash was located, no place to put any toiletries, and not enough room for 3 large suit cases.

The hotel is beautifully located, right by the beach in Hollywood. The central location is a perfect gateway to other places in South Florida. What really makes this hotel stand out, is the staff. I recommend a stay at the Sheldon with full conviction.

The beach is at your doorstep!!

We have stayed here four times so clearly we like it. The 30 yard walk to the beach is fabulous and the hotel is right on the boardwalk. The fact they provide beach chairs and an umbrella is a real bonus. They have finished the renovations and it has really modernized the hotel since our first stay. We'll be back.

Good location, however quite expensive for a poor quality room.

The location was excellent, being so close to the beach was amazing.

The room wasn’t the best. The bed was broken, however when we went to report it there was no one at reception. We waited about 10 mins, however our taxi arrived and we had to go. My husband used the small ironing board to put under the mattress so this at least meant he was no longer rolling off the edge. Whilst the air conditioning was a godsend, the noise coming from it was quite annoying as it caused a vibration which you could hear/feel through the bed. It’s located right under the window next to the bed so there was no getting away from it. We also had heavy rain on the first night, which resulted in water coming in through the windows, with water leaking down the sides of the wall causing the floor to get quite wet. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights, we would have complained, however we just wanted to enjoy the last 2 nights of our holiday at the beach. Overall, I would still recommend it if your looking to use the room to sleep and spend your days out and at the beach (which is what we did), the price just doesn’t really reflect the quality of the room and hotel (which was disappointing)

The staff and specially the manager was so nice with us. We even got a room upgrade to full ocean view. The hotel has a perfect location right in front of the beach and besides good restaurants.

Room updated. LOCATION!!! Beach towels, umbrella, and chairs available as part of the reservation. 5 steps from the boardwalk and another 10 to the beach. Fantastic location. Lots of restaurants, shops and entertainment within walking distance.

No common area to socialize outside of your room, had to go to the restaurants to sit and share with friends. The common areas were being renovated. They did not offer any compensation. They said they were not required to inform online booking companies about this as they did not have 29 contractors on site at any one time. At $1500 for 5 nights M-F. I paid for a room with 2 beds and no amenities. Thank goodness the boardwalk was right outside of the front doors. I am also surprised I did not get a senior discount from Booking.com. Not pleased.
