The staff were fantastic! Every person went above & beyond! The bellman we had was exceptional! The very best service I’ve ever had anywhere! The view with the balcony was just breathtaking! I like that they had plenty of towels and pillows. The pools were warm, and beautiful!

The room itself should’ve been cleaner as there were crumbs along the side of the bed. And something on the wall in the bathroom. The parking situation is park across the street which is high no in & out or pay valet 65.00 a day.

The hotel is convenient for conferences and has a nice beach. The price did not match the quality

The room was comfortable and nice (beach view with a balcony). It was clean, except on my arrival, when I found some food left on the balcony from previous occupants. The lobby of the hotel was pleasant, very green, with various trees. It was convenient to meet people from the conference. The beach is nice. I enjoyed long walks in the morning, before the conference started. The beach is in the sun until 3 pm.

The noise from reconstruction works. This is the 2nd time I stayed in the hotel. The last time (in 2016) there were also reconstruction works.

Beautiful design, location, beach access

Currently the property is under construction so there is only one pool open, constant construction noise during the day, construction on the inside of the hotel as well, some things aren’t functioning as normal such as restaurants and daily activities. The beach chairs weren’t set up for the sunrise and there was never a pool attendant with beach towels that early

Great place if you have endless financial resources

The staff was very nice and welcoming, and the hotel was overall clean and well-kept. The location is excellent — right on the beach — which made the stay even more enjoyable. A pleasant experience with good service and a beautiful setting.

The room had a very unpleasant, humid smell when we arrived, and the sink wasn’t draining properly. I also found a large bug on the towels in the bathroom, which was disappointing. The pool area was extremely overcrowded — even sitting on the side chairs meant getting splashed constantly as people walked by. Prices were also excessive: $9 for a bottle of water, $61 per night for valet parking, and endless “resort fees” on top of that. The supposed amenities (like bike rides and a gym across the street) felt more like an excuse for extra charges than actual value, especially since the gym looked abandoned.

The location and rooms were nice and updated.

I was very disappointed as there was a dead roach in the mini fridge (inside of it). The cleanliness could have been better as there was hair in the soaking tub as well as a razor cover from the previous person left on the bathroom counter under the towels. Making me question if they were even new. The main pool - don't get me started. I was disappointed to find that the entire pool was under construction and not available. This was not noted in any advertising that I booked through. Though there was the smaller pool open, it was disappointing going out in the morning to wet tables and chairs after raining. Yes, it rained the night before and this is understandable, but a hotel of this caliber I would expect the facilities for guests to come and enjoy be dried off and ready to receive guests. There weren't even towels for you to use in the towel ports. Not happy given the amount of money I paid to stay here.

One of my worst travel experiences— and I travel frequently

Property was under construction and should not be open . Extremely loud ongoing construction noise heard throughout the hotel , main pool and jacuzzis were closed, open pool did not have proper access for elderly, ADA access to beach non functional - photo below. No warning about construction was given. Extremely high prices. Resort fees waived which was insulting since the resort was essentially essentially closed.

Extremely disruptive Construction at resort in terms of service and high decibel noise without warning at booking or cost reduction. My special family vacation with my 89 year old mother was ruined.

Construction all through weekend. Would have been nice if they wouldn’t have worked during weekend. Spent lots of money to go somewhere nice and all we heard was stuff being jack hammered and dumpster crashing noise.

brecfast buffet was included for the price $78.00 for two, but for staying five days we was able to have it only two days, the other two days we were told we can order from short list , because there was not buffet at this days. and on fifth day we left for airport at 6 in the morning and buffet open at 7 am. Besides that, first two days i ask front desk manager (because consierge never was onhis desk) to bring shower gel to my room and only got it on third day. And first four days i had to call couple of times to clean my room. i don't think that is the way concider "5 stars" hotel.

Good, bad experience in the restaurants

On the beach

The beach restaurant was too expensive and the staff was not nice. We order a hotdog and it came really cold and the bread was frozen. When we asked to warm it they left the hot dog in the plate and they took only the bread to the kitchen. That is unacceptable for a hotel of this category.

This hotel has a bedbug infestation

This is a beautiful resort and the staff was really nice. Also, when I ordered room service, the food taste very good.

The room that we replaced in was supposed to be a partial view of the ocean, but we did not see the ocean. Also the balcony that we had with our room was very dirty so we were unable to sit on the balcony. Lastly, and most important our room had an infestation of bedbugs. Unfortunately, I got bit up so bad And this is something that I'm currently dealing with.

Bed very uncomfortable, dated bathrooms, was supposed to have ocean front and was told they over sold, very disappointed. Pool area was dirty, messy, and unattended. “Dog friendly” but they did not give out anything special to welcome their four legged guests like many other hotels do that we’ve stayed.

Not worth it

Some of the staff was very nice. And pools were great.

The rooms were not very clean at all. A lot of hidden fees that they don’t tell bookings about. Had to switch rooms once because the first room was filthy. The second room was better but still not up to normal hotel standards of being clean. Food was not good. And parking was expensive for self parking even.

The property is beautiful inside they have multiple pools to accompany all their guest and it’s right in front of the beach. Also gives a good shade and the late afternoon at the beach.

I didn’t like how expensive the store, restaurants, bar, parking, incidental deposit was. I went to the store and bought a four pack of Crown Royale sour apple two waters and the total is $80. The incidentals deposit is $250 a night that I was not expecting because I did not see I’m booking.com and to South Park the hotel charges $50 a night. I think they need to bring down these prices. The breakfast alone was two premade sandwiches and two brownies totaling $70. Horrible!

I would strongly recommend the Diplomat regardless of who your traveling with; couple, family or friends.

I liked the resort for the pool and the beach access. The Diplomat Prime restaurant and the playa restaurant. My room was clean.

The standards of Hilton have diminished drastically. Attracting low standards of people that lack manners and disrespect. In resorts with higher standards the quality of people know how to properly behave and carry themselves. The pool area needs more restriction to what you can actually bring. The pool area looked like everyone from Hialeah, Fl. was there with some restriction you can actually keep the place a little better. No outside floats (only children's, toddles swimming vest or a child's life Jacket) No outside drinks like a 2 Lider soda with your own pitcher of ice, No wagons.
