Motel 6-Auburn, CA

The rooms were a good size and it was very quiet and relaxing there. The motel was pretty packed with people and animals. I heard one dog bark EXACTLY one time and I think it's because the walls are constructed well and the doors are very solid and heavy! Even the dog barking was actually quiet! Lol

They state it's "pet-friendly", unless your dog has an accident!!! The reason for the stay at Auburn,CA location Motel 6 was to take my 13 year old boxer, named Ladybird to the Animal Hospital for euthanasia, unfortunately! The drive was too much and we still had a distance to go. Affordable, "PET-FRIENDLY", and quick access to freeway. Her last night on Earth, so I treated her to a McDonald's cheeseburger!!!! I mean WHAT-THE-HELL!!? LOL That was at 530pm. We fell asleep, and Ladybird fell asleep on the floor on her dog bed like normal. I was awoke by her, with what I thought was snoring, but it was her panting and struggling to breathe. Almost like a panic attack. She had somehow got on top of the extra bed next to me and had an accident!! Now remember she's 12yo, cancer, hip problems, the whole 9 yards!!! She's on the bed now, and I think she panicked because she couldn't get down to warn me or to just go potty. She hasn't potty inside a house for 11½ years. Anyways, she had slight, and I mean slight diarrhea!!! I could not believe it and neither could she. I got her down and took her to finish, thank god! I got back, used TP first for 90% of it, flushed several times, not looking bad! Took the comforter off and took it to the tub where it wouldn't make a mess or stink the room up any longer. I did not wash the comforter off in fear of making a bigger mess and plus children wash and play in there! I figured they had a protocol for crap!! I mean there is pretty disturbing disgusting people pooping on everything and giving ZERO f*cks! The blankets underneath were fine that's how little amount there was! In the morning, I went to the desk and told them what had happened. I left, and unfortunately the hospital was so super busy it was too late to drive back home. We decided to book the same Motel 6. Everything was cool, until check in.

Nothing, It was awful and the tv didn’t even work. The people at the front desk were rude and completely unprofessional

The bathrooms were disgusting especially the shower had mildew in it. It was turning orange inside. Urine under the toilet.

The location very peaceful . I liked that they had a pool .

Their wasn't a shower with a tub but very satisfied other than that .

Staff was kind. Location was great. Price was good.

There was too many ants although I didn't leave snacks/food/drinks out. Didn't like them crawling on my bed either :( (I didn't mention it to staff bc I didn't wanna bother them)

Beds did not have a fitted sheet. Rather they were thin flat sheets tucked around the corners of the bed. Supposed to be non-smoking. Staff left the windows in the lobbies and stairways open and allowed people to smoke under the windows. The entire building smelled like an ashtray. I am an animal lover, (I have two dogs myself) but people had the dogs in their rooms and allowed them to continuously bark and/or whine very late and early in the evening. It was difficult to sleep. The beds were not comfortable and were on solid wood platforms.

disgusting main areas (stairs, hallway carpets, etc) multiple dog urine puddles inside. Drug addicts roaming all hours of the night with music and barking dogs.

There was no breakfast, and when you walked in the front door it smelled like cigarette smoke , also the internet went out and I could not get any T,V, , Also there is a lot of pets in the building and pet poo all over the lawn

The room was dirty, and needed lots of repairs it is appreciate that there are people living there, not good

The dog areas policed better and guests required to clean up their dog poop or fined if they don't.
