The room is huge for one person, even for two. Nice view. It is very cozy. I liked and used the kichenette.
The room could do with a little more vacuuming: there is carpet on all the floors and it was dusty in the corners.

The location is perfect for food and shopping
No complimentary breakfast

When searching online through my various discounted travel outlets, I desired a few specifics - close access to restaurants, transit, and the Chicago Loop area - and within the room certain comforts for my stay - a tub, double bed room with full size beds, WIFI - plus, I didn't want to pay a large deposit while attempting to keep the entire experience under three hundred dollars. After narrowing the search to three options, a hotel just outside of Chinatown, one in the middle of the loop, and Travelodge - Travelodge seemed to check every box for my experience.

The kitchen works, its a bit old fashion but it does the job.
The bed was confortable, but you need more blakets
The heater didn't work and it was freezing
It offer breakfast and it is a lie
The person at the lobby didn't want to solve the problem with the heater.
I also asked for extra blankets and they didn't want to bring them to me.

Location, staff, specifically this younger woman with curly hair, she was dressed as a cat because it was Halloween. Very helpful! Gave us a list of restaurants, knew everything about the surrounding area.
Beds are really bad, hurt a lot. Also, the train that goes by, I feel like that was a bit much, it went by every 5 minutes. The train isn't your fault, obviously, but the beds could be better.

I loved the location! It was so close by to all the main attractions. Also, the room they gave us was really big. Overall, it was a very nice and comfortable stay!

Location, history
Small changes to the modernize the windows and a/c units could block out the L train. Water was lukewarm at best.

I liked that the property was in a great location to where I needed to be and it was easy to find something to eat as well.
I didn’t like the fact that there weren’t any parking discounts or deals.

The room was okay, though the bed arrangement could have been better. The location was perfect—very close to restaurants, with plenty of good breakfast options nearby.
The front desk staff were not friendly and didn’t even smile. When I asked for assistance with our luggage, the receptionist simply said, ‘No available crew to help you. You have to do it yourself.’ That response was a big disappointment for us.

Room was clean, but needs a little renovation.

The hotel is located by the Buckingham Fountaine, about 10 mins walk from Lake Michigan. The room was huge with two double beds and has a kitchenette too. This was also very good. There is no breakfast in the hotel but there is a restaurant next to the hotel where you can eat till 2 pm.
Everything was perfect.

Housekeeping was very nice!
Need a couch in the room, to relax and read. A bar and TV in the lobby, no activity for quests.

Location, cleanliness; the room was very spacious.
The hotel is old but some of those details make the place unique. The ac can be a little noisy and if you need an iron board (there is an iron in the room) you may wait for a while ;)

Location for Lollapalooza was unbeatable, beds were very comfortable, lots of channels to watch, AC was cold, and staff was generally great and helpful.
The toilet needed to be flushed twice whenever you used it, water pressure was low, and one of the staff members at the front desk was not very helpful and frankly, she was quite rude.

Small bedrooms, I did’t like the carpet, quite overprice for what it was

Nothing
I didn’t like the room. I didn’t like the fact that they lied and said free breakfast and I was told I had to purchase breakfast next door.
5.0 / 10.0
It is a great location and was the most affordable place we could find. The room was spacious
There was a blood stain and some kind of textured stain on one of the pillow cases. Some of our pillows had no cases. The room smelled of month balls. The couch cushions were totally sunken into the frame. Everything was so, so old. The staff were very inconsistent. It needs a Renovation badly.

LOCATION!
it's just a few steps from Chicago Downtown... you don't need to use public transportation to move around the city, everything is within walking distance.
We arrived at 3 am, and Derek was there to check us in and to provide wonderful recomendations about what to see, where to go, and even where to eat, so we really appreciated his suggestions. he also provided historical facts about the building:
built in 1930, it was the first hotel ever in Chicago, to offer a parking space right next to the building.
The room has everything you need for your stay: plenty of space, a confy bed, clean sheets, hot water on the tub, clean towels, even a fridge to keep our Deep dish pizza leftovers! and a microwave to heat them :) also, there was a safebox too.
The Blue line (airport ride) is a few blocks away and it's really easy to ride it.
The hotel is a block away from Michigan Ave, so you can really enjoy the city taking a walk everywhere. For example, you can be in Millenium Park in less than 15 min
There was a sofa on the room that could be replaced, but don't let that discourage you... you don't need it :P

Short walking distance to key landmarks with a good Thai food restaurant next door.

When I had got there to check in around 11pm they had told me that my room was canceled (by10pm) they don't know by who if it was them or bookings.com ..it was clearly them they made me wait till 1am just to tell me to wait again till 3am incase anyone is a no show so I can get their room. I told them that if they had told me that at 11pm I would have had time to enjoy a stay somewhere else. I've stayed at travelodge before and experience was good. This time around it was not. Darren assisted me at the front desk. 5.23.25

The location was good. Hotel staff friendly.
The room was tired looking. Noise of the CTA railway was loud during the late evening and early morning. Having the AC through the bottom sash window doesn’t help muffling the noise. No plug in the bath so could not soak my feet after sightseeing all day. No bar facility at the hotel. Was quite a walk if you fancied a drink. Cost $64 for 24 hours parking opposite the hotel. Very expensive additional cost if you are there for a week.
5.0 / 10.0
The location was good. Right near where I needed to be and the price was affordable.
Parking is ridiculous. The hotel should offer free parking and to jack the prices up because of an event is diabolical. It’s 2025 and everyone needs to stop being so dam greedy!
6.0 / 10.0
The hotel has an excellent location, just one block from the red subway line and within walking distance of Millennium Park, the aquarium, and downtown Chicago in general, which is very convenient. The price is reasonable given the great location, and the staff is friendly and efficient.
You also get what you pay for. While the location is great, the hotel is very, very old. The heating pipes are extremely noisy at night, and there’s no way to avoid the noise (even with the heating turned off). The beds are not truly queen size, two people can sleep in them, but very closely. Overall, the hotel’s infrastructure is quite old.

The locator was fantastic.
The curtains in the room didn’t fully cover the window so there was light coming in at all times. A huge smell of weed throughout without the AC being on too.
3.0 / 10.0
The desk manger Gina was amazing. The beds are bricks and listening to the train all night was horrible
