Lakeside Cottage

Homey very well laid out space, beautiful dock area, comfortable beds, and excellent responsive host. We were 7 adults and 1 child for a family getaway and it was such a great seamless entry, instantly comfortable welcoming relaxed feel. The dining area overlooking the lake is great too. The lake water was a perfect 24 degrees.

A few extra bathroom hand towels would have been appreciated but honestly can't think of anything else. I would mention to all cottage properties that a noon checkout as default for cottages would be nice, but that is a global note, not for this place in particular.

had my 3 little girls with me they were vary captivated by the style and charm of the cottage it has a beautiful indoor fire place out of reach of the cold and mosquitoes and check-in and out was a breeze and David was vary understanding of my misunderstanding that the cottage was pet friendly 🦮🐕🐕‍🦺 I hope he will let us return one day in the wormer months great job and thank you Dave

I was serprized while sweeping the floor to see a blue light coming from underneath the dresser by the front door that turned out to be a camera filming my stay had me retracing my steps hope I didn’t scar someone for life other then that vary quite and peaceful place love listening to the loons at dusk&dawn

Futon in front left room was really hard and the bed behind the washroom was super soft

The location was great, right on a lake and the kayaks were a lot of fun. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to easily cook big meals in. There was plenty of firewood for fires which was especially nice on the days it rained.

We were very disappointed to find out that despite the property being "pet-friendly" cats were not actually allowed. We did not receive this information until just before we arrived, so we had to scramble to find a cat sitter which was a big hassle. I would recommend the property not be considered pet friendly because of this. When we arrived and turned on the water pump and the water heater the washer machine started filling up with water at a very fast rate. Again we had to scramble, this time to figure out how to stop the water flow before it overflowed out of the washer. We ended up having to use cups and bowls to remove a bunch of water and then we used a wrench in a very tight almost impossible spot to shut off the water flow. It was a very very unpleasant arrival.
