One of the best mini-vacations we have ever had, we loved the hotel & will definitely go back.

Everything, from the ambiance, facilitates, rooms & staff. It was a perfect stay, we extended our stay because we loved the place so much. The staff were beyond accommodating, especially Lori at the front desk/reception (my kids adored her), Jorge at one of the main restaurants during breakfast (there are plenty of restaurant choices in the resort), Dan at the Spa/Nail salon & Parker who was the sweet driver of the Tram (my kids adored him too) & everyone at the pool. Every single staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

An Amazing and relaxing get away

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food at the Bourbon Steakhouse was amazing! The staff were polite and friendly. The views and amenities on the property were great.

For the price of the hotel I feel the sparkling water in the room should be complimentary (although they do provide complimentary bottled water). There were no wash cloths in the room. I also prefer softer 2 ply toilet paper.

This was my 3rd time at this facility. Top shelf...

We spent nearly every day at either the pool or beach club, and we dined in all restaurants on property. I was also able to get in a round of golf, while my wife and daughters enjoyed the spa.

The weather was a bit gloomy, but clearly outside of the resort's control. :)

Exceptional

Waldorf Astoria in Dana point, is an excellent choice for a couple's getaway! Me and my wife were celebrating 15 year wedding anniversary. From pulling into the main entrance, you are warmly greeting with a smile and excellent service. This property is very beautiful and we look forward to returning in the future!

such a luxurious getaway ****** resort

the sprawling property, with luxurious and manicured grounds all which provide stunning vista views from any spot on the resort. it possesses the grand entrance, with its many richly decorated patios, club areas and members only areas. the room amenities are lush and luxurious with the newest technologies. The staff were amazing, attentive, helpful, polite, and most accommodating with requests. it’s is their staff that made my stay lovely and welcoming.

The ocean view was amazing! The hotel's restaurant, Bourbon Steakhouse, was delicious.

Hotel room was super far away from the elevators, and took a bit to walk to. Room service wasn't all that tasty, considering the price you pay for it, and you're better off without it.

dirty and poor

The infrastructure in general was very good they have different restaurants inside the resort they have an amazing view

To start my experience at this resort as soon as I open the room door I found a dirty high heels on top of my bed so I called the reception to get a solution and they were laughing at me , So I ask them to move to a different room because the room they gave me it was dirty they took at least two hours to accommodate me on a different room and when we got there the room had a strong smell of fresh paint couldn’t sleep or rest I had a strong headache because of the strong smell. Now when it comes to They breakfast We chose the buffet hoping to have a great experience but the whole thing was dirty with dirty plates and almost no options as you guys can see on the pictures well I would have a lot a lot to say but the images will speak for itself now if you guys want over pay for a hotel that is five star and receive a one star experience go for it

Th hotel is large and has a nice ambience as you walk around. The golf course is beautiful.

I think next time if we want to stay in this area we will go to ritz. I dont like the lack of beach access. I also thought the hotel rooms seemed a little dated and over priced.

the staff was pompous. too many weddings going around which restricted one’s movement. the rooms were definitely not what was shown I would not recommend this property. I thought the staff especially front desk either could not handle the traffic or did not prefer Asians

Beautiful hotel with a view of the ocean. The staff went out of their way to greet us by name. Great pool with plenty of lounge chairs.

On our last day we had a late flight and were given an amenity pass for the day; however we were not permitted to use the Locker room/lounge without a same day spa reservation due to Covid issues. That was frustrating since we needed a place to change before our flight, had paid a daily resort fee, and paid hundreds of dollars to the spa the prior day for services.

Another fabulous weekend at the Waldorf Astoria!

The location, facilities and staff are excellent. We have stayed here several times over the past few years for weekends and short (3 to 4 day) vacations, and we've never been disappointed. Pricey ($$$$), but worth every penny.

We had one complaint - the valet parking ($60 per night) took an unacceptably long time (30 to 45 minutes) to retrieve our car. This happened repeatedly, including during quiet and slow periods. After we complained about the delay for the 3rd time, we asked for a refund of the valet charges. In true professional courtesy, they comped the valet charges for both nights of the Mother's Day weekend, and refunded $120 to our bill. Class act! We'll definitely be back!
