'Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach

Location is great. So much that is good about this property but there are some things that need improvement.

Hot tub not working for several days, several times towels not available for pool or beach. We were basically out of luck. I received 3 emails about possibly upgrading my stay and replied back. I was told that someone would reach out to me. 3 messages and no responses. I let the staff know on arrival and she didn’t say anything. Why bother reaching out if you have no intention of following up? Pretty high price when you don’t get the basics. This is our second time staying here.

Great location, across the road from the beach and the statue of Duke which is in the hub of the action. Excellent hotel standards with a very impressive foyer. We would recommend friends to stay there and hopefully come back next year.

Location, high standard of accommodation and buzz of the Hawaiian lifestyle

Location was good. Parking price outrageous! For the price of the resort breakfast should be included.

Sheets were never changed for a week stay! Breakfast should have been included in the price!

Closest proximity to the beach

We recently stayed at Alohilani Beach Resort in Hawaii after booking through Booking.com. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the room we received. The room did not match the photos shown on the Booking.com listing. The pictures clearly featured newly renovated, modern rooms, but the room assigned to us was noticeably older, with worn furnishings and dirty carpets. Considering the price we paid, the room was not representative of what was advertised and did not provide the value we expected. It left us feeling that guests who book through third-party websites may be assigned older rooms while the renovated rooms shown in the listing are used for marketing. If that is the case, it is misleading and unfair. If the renovated rooms are only available under certain room categories, that should be clearly disclosed in the listing so guests can make an informed decision. We chose this property based on the advertised photos and expected accommodations of a similar standard. Unfortunately, the significant difference between the advertised room and the actual room negatively impacted our stay. We would appreciate your review of this matter and an appropriate resolution.
