    This hotel is a gem! We’re so thankful we checked in here for a night in Boston. It’s in Back Bay near the mall, Copley Square, and the airport so you’ll never run out of things to do. Also really appreciated the snack bar at the lobby and the 10 dollar credit at Lucie where we had breakfast. Definitely booking at this hotel again when we go to Boston.

    I booked this hotel not realizing the rooftop was seasonal only until labor day weekend and we were there the next weekend on a day that was in the 80’s. I wish they would have kept the rooftop open when it was still warm. Even just the bar if the pool is closed.

    Amazing places to eat a block or two away, Newbury street about a 10-min walk, and Northeastern about a 13-min walk. Exactly what we wanted location-wise. Otherwise, the hotel itself was good, not great. Started off with a bit of a long wait to check in. There was only one person checking in in front of us and 2 staff. They noticed us and signaled they'll be with us shortly. Finally, one staff asked who's next and looked at us. I stepped forward. But someone new just walked right up to him and the staff helped this new person. I was a bit confused. Asked my wife, who had been waiting before I arrived, if that guy was there before. Rather than cause any trouble, I figured it must be some quick question and let it go. But then we had to continue to wait for way too long. Not a great start to our stay. Room was good (again, nothing special). Facilities pretty basic. Gym wasn't bad, enough exercises for me to get great workouts, but small and usually packed. Expect to wait for exercises. I needed to record a very short video message after my wife went to sleep one night. So I walked to the lobby with my laptop and asked where I can do this. I was told there weren't any places in the entire hotel. The lobby is nice but had music loud enough I couldn't record. Same with the gym. There were some conference rooms, but the hotel staff wouldn't unlock them. Not that I was expecting a private office, but shows the limited amenities and willingness to accommodate. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. I believe the price was too high, even given the incredible location.

    We arrived prior to check in time and the kind staff offered to hold our luggage and would put us on a list as soon as a room came available. Our room ended up being available a few hours before their listed check in which was nice. When we got into the room, it wasn’t anything fancy. Then we ran into our toilet flooding the bathroom. They immediately came and “fixed” it but it still leaked. The mirror lights did not work, the tub was meh on cleanliness. It had stains and spots of mold. The location was nice and convenient next to the T. For the price we paid, I would not consider this a four star hotel. Maybe a 3-3.5 at most. Slightly let down from what the pictures showed.
