Woodland Cedars Family Cottage Resort

The price was good, the location was nice.

The cottage could have been cleaner. And they should provide more in the way of amenities. They emailed me after booking to let me know that they provide clean mattress protectors which are changed after every stay, but that we would need to bring our own sheets, pillows and blankets. They did not mention towels. I am glad that I brought some so it wasn't an issue. But they also did not provide any dishcloths and we had to go out and buy some. There was a list on the wall of things to do before we left. One of them was to wash all dishes. Fair enough but hard to do when you can't dry them or put them away. And another was to sweep the floor using the broom provided. The "broom provided" was a very small hand held broom that you use to sweep off small surfaces. Using that to sweep the cottage would require getting down on hands and knees which I cannot physically do, or have any desire to do in a place that I pay to stay at.

They were small flies everywhere.

Very close to the beach, big living space, full kitchen, barbeque, everything is clean. 2 minutes walk to LCBO and local store/cafe with fruits, vegies and icecream. Owner is great guy - very friendly

The cottage was clean and a short walk to the beach. Parking was close, and the grounds were maintained shared fire pit.

The cottage wasn't prepared for our visit. BBQ was dirty, with no utensils. We had to ask for knives, soap, toaster was broken, hot water wasn't turned on. When the owners came, they were very kind and got us what we needed.
