My experience ...

But overall it was a nice place . I really like the little basket under the television that housed a reusable water bottle, a deck of cards, and a pair of slippers ... All of which were complimentary !!! I did forget my deck of cards though... bummed 😔

The only reason I did not give them a 10 out of 10 was because the fire alarm went off twice, ... in our room ONLY ....!! The first time my husband and I were asleep . It was around 10: 30- 11: 00ish in the morning .. Talk about startling thinking the hotel was on fire 🔥 and the second time we just looked up at each other like wth? 🤨

Room had a hip vibe & nicely appointed. Restaurant & lobby were very attractive. Ample parking.

Actually only one criticism - The mattress was very good BUT it is on a metal platform that makes a loud metallic sound when entering & exiting the bed. Annoyingly so during the night.

A nice remodel of an old hotel, but the "ghosts" of the old building were very evident.

I stayed at this same hotel back in 1988 when I first moved to California, so it was cool to see it as a renovated hotel. The design and style were cool.

Well, a new remodel of an OLD building isn't going to fix everything. The walls are still still very thin, I could hear everything, the plumbing was noisy, and the floor shook when people walked down the corridor.

Comfortable updated stay, in a quiet area away from Laguna

The decor is updated and very nice. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The lobby is very welcoming with lots of amenities.

Check in started at 4:00 and we checked in at 4:45. They informed us that our room wasn't cleaned and ready yet and that they were overbooked and didn't have enough rooms for everyone. We had to sit and wait in the lobby for at least 15 mins. They did comp us paying for parking which we didn't even know was in the mix. There was PLENTY of parking and the location is far away from downtown Laguna, so paying for parking seemed ridiculous. Once our room was ready, it was very clean and comfortable, but making us wait when we had a full evening of reservations was very inconvenient. There was a line of people waiting to check in as well. We couldn't believe that they could be overbooked too!

I enjoyed the decor, the safety, how clean it is, how polite and welcoming everyone was especially as a lesbian couple
