Our stay was very short so it did the trick. Beyond that, would not stay beyond a night on the road.

The room was large, mostly clean, and comfortable.,

The property is a bit rundown, and could use a could updating and cleaning. The layout requires passing through a ground floor door, up a flight of staris to access the guest rooms. The stairwell is dimly lit, narrow, and bare cement. The noise from the stairwell door closing was loud. I didn't like the smell of weed from a guest smoking. I also didn't like the sound of people walking loudly on the floor above. Overall wasn't really an "inn" or "hotel" experience. More like staying in someone's house with them.

Very friendly service! No elevator but the stairs are easy and safe with entry via keypad. Off street parking and easy to find. Clean and updated. Would recommend!

It is definitely a very “clean” smelling place, meaning it does have a bit of a cleaning supply/laundry detergent smell. I have a bit of a sensitive nose, but luckily there were operable windows and I just aired it out while at dinner. Others in my party were fine though.

The room was spacious and very clean. It smelled really good and decor was nice. I appreciated the details such as the crown molding and calming colors.

The walls are paper thin and it’s on the PCH, so we could hear every single car drive by all night and heard when people came and went from the hotel. We could not sleep due to the noise. With that said, we were also in the room at the very front of the property so maybe it wouldn’t be as loudening the back.

Good If you have plans and don't plan on staying in the room very long.

The staff he was extremely friendly. There's free parking. There is a refrigerator and a microwave. A table and two chairs with a coffee maker and a hair dryer. When you walked into the room, it smelled really clean. Everything was really clean in the room. The floor was a bit slippery from whatever chemical they sprayed to mop the floor it didn't bother me. It just showed me that the room was clean which I enjoyed. We always check under the sheets/ mattress to make sure there are no bed bugs or just bugs in general and there were none.

All of the vending machines were broken. The parking was really tight. The stairs were really steep and we were on the third floor and it was so noisy. You could hear every door slam people talking and all the noise started a 645am in the bathroom the shower head was really odd. It was a little shower head in the middle of the ceiling. It was so hard to reach it.( And I'm 5'7 ")in order to change it to spray differently. Which sprayed everywhere, so it made the bathroom really wet. The pillows were weirdly lumpy, and the bed was really hard . Luckily we had our own pillows And every bad review I read was about room 326. And of course, we got 326.

You pay for what you get

The location was perfect on PCH . Lots of good restaurants nearby . Car parking was good and area very safe. The price was very reasonable for the area . The gentleman on reception was very happy and helpful . Beds were comfy !! But floor not cleaned.

What I didn't like was the rooms were not cleaned daily . The toilet roll and tea/coffee was NOT replaced everyday . I stayed there for 4 days and not once did the cleaning lady come into our room . I asked her for some coffee and she just shoved it in my hand . Nice lady but not good at her job . The floor in the room was dirty . I cleaned the bathroom floor myself with wet wipes as when I got out of shower the floor would make them dirty again .

I stayed here three times over the summer. One time for business and two times on vacation. This place is wonderful. It is the only place I will stay at when visiting Huntington Beach.

Comfortable, great value and short walk to the beach but even shorter drive.

Looked like the interiors were updated even though it’s an older building. The room had a refrigerator and microwave and a small closet. The restroom had a waterfall shower which was great. A big ice machine was available downstairs by the lobby and doors were key card secured on both stairways. No elevators.

The floor in our room was filthy, I recommend you bring slippers or walking socks because your feet will be black otherwise.

Good for the night but wouldn't stay again

The room I stayed in was clean. Good for a day after the beach if you live far away but would not recommend staying here.

The stairs are awful and extremely dangerous/steep. No wheelchair access so if you need any ADA accommodations this is not the place for you. The man working the front desk was kind of rude but may be a cultural thing. He followed me out to my car thinking I had a 2nd car with a guest even though I told him it was just my car. He questioned the person in the other car as if we were doing something wrong and lying to him. The people in the other car was my family who already checked in 30 minutes before me but he for some reason didn't understand this. Reminded me of one of those real nit-picky landlords who makes a big deal over the smallest thing. The shower was old and run down, they added a more modern shower head but didn't help it feel any better. Overall, value was good for the time I saved on not having to drive 2.5 hours back home but would I ever stay here again? Absolutely not.

This place was fantastic. The place was clean and seemed to be very secure. The staff was friendly and helpful. If you are on a budget, this is the place for you!

Woman who checked me in was not friendly. It's misleading that they claim to be steps from the beach. You have to cross a highway and it's not easy to access the beach. The room had no lamps, just harsh overhead lights. A couple of lamps would have greatly improved the ambience.

Very comfortable

I’ve stayed here before and it was nice then but they’ve redone it and it has very nice linens on the beds comfortable beds. Very nice flooring very clean cute bathrooms. I liked it all around especially for the price. It’s a great value.

The only downside I could see was that there’s no elevator for people that that might be challenging for, but it didn’t bother me

Great place to stay close to beach....

We liked the location being so close to the beach. We liked the on site free parking. We liked the size of the room and that it was very clean. We liked that the room had a small fridge and a microwave. We liked that the check in process was easy and the kind lady who checked us in was helpful. We liked staying in Sunset Beach it's an exceptionally wonderful and quiet beach. We liked that room service was thorough and replenished our tp and towels. We liked that the beds were comfortable with lots of blankets and pillows.

It was a little difficult taking showers as there was very little water pressure. The shower head was a rain shower head and was significantly high on the ceiling so the water had a difficult time heating up and more or less trickled out of the shower head. While the room had great lighting it was all overhead ceiling light with dimmers but it might be nice to have a lamp or two to use in the evening- not a necessity but definitely helpful . Overall there was no real complaints that would keep us from not recommending to others or returning ourselves ..except the shower :). If there's a way to have more water pressure and change the shower head to something a little lower and useable that would be awesome ! Otherwise we loved our stay !

The staff was great . The one who worked at the office was very understanding and she went out of her way to make our stay a good one by accommodating parking. Communication was great! Thank you! The rooms were nicely decorated . Area is great very close to Sunset Beach .

The rooms were okay but you can hear people coming in and out of their rooms. The shower head is attached to the roof it was very hard to wash sand off . But used a wash cloth to help. Also no elevator you will have to haul your luggage up. But wasn’t to bad it’s do able.

The motel was located where I needed and the staff friendly and accommodating. The room was nice, nothin exceptional and the window had no real view.

I liked the covered parking but none of the rooms were on the ground floor and there was no elevator so taking luggage up the stairs was not the best.
