Vagabond Inn Costa Mesa

The room was dirty, smelled bad, and it looked like there was black mold in areas of the ceiling and bathroom. Toilet was NOT cleaned well after last guest. Bed was hard like a board. Lobby and breakfast area were dirty. But the pool and pool area looked really nice.

The room had a very bad odor like mold n smelled up our suitcase n everything that we took into the room I was not able to sleep we checked out the next morning But was very satisfied with the return on deposit n charged for one night The location was wonderful near family

Convenience, especially for where I needed to go the next morning.

I woke up with a sore stiff back. The bed was way too soft and not the greatest price for a one night stay. I mean it worked, but I don't believe it was worth the price.

The room smelt bad. It was hot, red flags, one after the other, from the jump So my granddaughter and I were laying in bed, she got up briefly, went to lay down and there was a cockroach on her pillow right next to her head was a filthy dirty place so then I come to my daughter-in-law’s house and turns out I have a hitchhiker I brought a cockroach with me. I spent all night Making sure there were no cockroaches in my bags. I don’t know what my vehicle looks like. I haven’t had a lick of sleep I’ve been up since four in the morning. I’ve been out in the sun at the beach at Newport dunes planned on having a relaxing night taking a bath there were no plugs for the tub And then that cockroach issue. It was horrendous

It’s very clean and the ubication is good.

It’s very close the stores and restaurants.

They wouldn't switch rooms or fix the air and non working vents. It was very cold and raining outside but very warm and humid inside. Air was barely on and musky warm never cool or cold or medium/high flow. Staff was very rude on requests for maintenance and for switching rooms 3 days in a row. Both staff at night young would constantly be on his phone and the day time older gal nothing but distaste for every word I had from first to last. She really hates polite people.

Loved the pool and hot tub. Great location!

It was in a very nice area and close to the freeway and I have nothing bad to say about this.

Nothing because I couldn't stay because of the stickiness of all the room they try to put me in. The only thing was good is not get charged for something that I couldn't stay in.

How dirty and hot it was with no Ac

Pool & hot tub were available. There was 2 other hotels which I won't name in the same area- the Pool(s)hot tub(s) were not available & it was advertised pool/ hot tubs- when we checked in neither one of the hotels mentioned the pool/ hot tubs were not available- we found out after we got ready yo go down to the pool- !!!!🤬- We got refunds& left!

Took awhile to check out 20 minutes- should have been a quicker/ smoother check out.

Housekeeping staff exceptionally friendly with guest

Room 219. Costa Mesa. Front desk wasn't good at problem solving, getting upset with paying customers, therefore employee needs professional customer service training. Roaches in the rooms, manager no where to be found I had to keep calling the office until he "arrived". Was going to stay for 2 weeks but the rudeness drove me to your competition for the remainder of my business stay

Close to the highway. The staff was very nice.

Our room was extremely dirty. The floor was not swept clean, roaches and various bugs throughout the room. Beds were very worn. Bed covers and sheets were not clean and should have been replaced due to age. No fan or a/c working which made the room very uncomfortable. The walls and baseboards were not clean and needed painting. The guests above us and next to us were very loud throughout the night and almost seemed to be living there as they were cooking in the rooms. Due to these factors we were unable to sleep and decided to leave at 3am with no place to go just to be out of the room. When we were leaving at this hour we saw various people walking through the parking lot that didn't seem to be staying at this hotel. Do not stay at this hotel.

Where do I begin…smell,!condition of property and most importantly rooms! My goodness, our first room was awful; the smell was horrific, the bathroom vanity was cracked sink looked like it came from an abandoned home, the entire bathroom needed to be demolished and redone. Can I tell you about the roaches!?!! keep the lights on or they will definitely come and join you. Luckily we were moved to another room, which wasn’t any better than our first. Once again, the smell! The target was only a few minutes away, so we loaded up with bleach/Ajax to scrub the tub ourselves and of course air freshener. Beds need to be replaced, pillows are old, and pillowcases are stained. Again luckily, Target is near, so we purchased pillowcases and sheets. We Observed some of the other guests and some seemed to be living there long term! not sure if the property is part of the homeless program where they provide rooms on a voucher. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MOTEL, and I am disappointed that booking.com would even recommend this place to their users!!!

They did not have nosey staff, people were minding their own business and fast check in and need to check on the buildings health &safety codes to make sure they are in compliance.
