Great stay

It was right off the highway and within minutes of the college we were visiting. The staff were very welcoming and attentive down from front staff to the custodians. The breakfast was amazing and was never empty during the hrs it was served. I mean they were on it! At 3 pm they’d serve popcorn and at 4 pm they served delicious cookies and they weren’t store bought.

Recommended & comfy

Nice sized room, very good hot & cold breakfast. That's a big plus!

Body wash bottle was completely empty. They need to check bottles regularly. I suggested that housekeeping dust my room as I stayed another night. So dusty behind the tv I could have written my name in it. That area was visible when turning the TV.

Breakfast was great, room was very comfortable, and pretty clean. Staff was excellent, very friendly and attentive. I had a business cancel our meeting and the front desk staff worked with me to cancel my reservation saving my company a day's room charge. This was more than graciously appreciated.

Dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed at

The gentleman who checked me in was the only reason I gave it 2 stars. He was great !

I have traveled ALOT and this was by far the filthiest room I have ever been in . Floor was dirty and was not vacuumed, bathroom was disgusting...looks as if the only thing housekeeping did was clean off the sink fixture to make it look cleaned, there was a thick layer of dust on everything, there was so much dirt and dust in the airconditoner/heater that I did even use it as I did not want all of the filth blowing out, the window sill and drapes were absulutely disgusting and corroded with dirt and stains. I did not even want to lay any of my items n any surface in this room let alone sleep there. I would have happily moved to a different hotel but I got in to late.

It worked out.

Didn't check in early like we wanted but they accommodated us when getting ready for wedding. Upgraded when we returned.

Room stunk like smoke. But we already had to go down once for new keys and I was tired. Breakfast area was messy but great variety.

Great breakfast! They let us park our vehicle while riding the train to Silverton.

The pool looked pretty gross so we didn’t even try to get in. Would’ve been nice but it just wasn’t appealing with the merky water. Plus it’s right in the front of the hotel with window for everyone to watch you swim.

Convenient, close to local attractions and restaurants, not too pricey

3 levels - check in @ 4 pm w/ snacks available- Comfortable bed / free breakfast with large variety. Quieter options on the other side of the hotel available.

When I was informed no one would be above us on the 3rd floor - the last night even w/ the ac on sounded like a giant walking above

Durango Comfort Inn and Suites - 4 day stay

Things were clean. Staff was helpful and nice. The location was convenient for us to explore. The popcorn and cookies were appreciated. I enjoyed the pool, althought it was not too big. Rooms were pleasant and big enough to meet our needs. I appreciated that there was a desk with a good desk chair in addition to another nice chair. We stayed 4 days and were comfortable.

Our last morning there was no breakfast meat and they had egg whites. My husband does not like egg whites. There was not a whole lot of walking space around the hotel and no designated pet area that I saw. Overall, it was a good hotel with good service and the breakfast were usually good.

solid, reliable, dependable

I've stayed here before and it's a solid, reliable spot. When I'm there, I see people there on business (oil and gas workers who have to travel, fire crews, etc.), which pretty much reinforces what I'm seeing: you know what you're gonna get and it's reliably good.

If you have more than 1 car, or it's big, parking is tricky.

Breakfast was generous with many options. The man at the desk when we arrived was particularly friendly and very capable.

Quiet and comfortable

Bed and pillows were very comfortable. King suite had a door between the bedroom and the living room, which made it very quiet (no noise from the hallway. There were 2 TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the living room. Also a second sink in the living room. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion provided. Friendly man at evening check-in. Good breakfast.

You can see some wear, but the stay here was much better than our stay at a similarly priced hotel near the mall. The other one was newer and prettier, but this one had better amenities and was more comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. No complaints.

Stephanie was wonderful welcoming us to the property and made excellent accommodations for us as my husband is disabilities and she was so considerate to us, easy parking and nice ramp for toting luggage. Wonderful hospitality and breakfast was great with large variety enough to please every pallet.

Great breakfast included. Biscuits and gravy as well as eggs, bacon or sausage. Always had juice and cereal, too.

Parking was taken up early each afternoon. Several motorcycles (about 8) took up spaces. Perhaps a designated area for motorcycles would have helped.

While the waffles were excellent, other items were just OK. The eggs were dry, the hash was too salty and the cereal for adults could be improved by adding granola. The coffee machine spattered coffee badly.
