the location is great. the room is tiny but functional. the wifi is choppy and totally unreliable. if you need wifi buy data from an esim provider.

We visited San Francisco for the first time and booked this hotel for 2nights, as most of the hotel rooms have been fully-booked due to a conference/event.
The Location - the hotel is situated in a 10-min walking distance to the wharf. Hurray!
The Stairs - upon entry, we were immediately horrified by the narrow stairs dressed with dirty, smelling red carpet - the only way to reach reception in the upper level
The Reception - its was barely a "ticket booth", with a grumpty reception guy sitting behind the desk
The Room - we were assigned to occupy a room facing the reception/waiting area. We opened the room door and behold, it was just enough to fit a double bed in it. We had 2 medium luggage bags (1 for each person) and there is no space to pop it open except on top of the bed. The dirty, red, sad-looking carpet continued into the room, and ofcourse, the same sad color scheme on the bed cover. Everything in the room is old, worn-out and broken. The room ambience made it feel to breathe. There was a moldy throw pillow, like an icing on top of our bed.
The Wifi - wifi facility is available in the hotel but it didnt mean that internet connection is present. So we have to load-up our roaming data to be able to survive during the stay. The room has no AC nor heater. It has a broken ceiling fan that squeeks every turn.
The Sinks - sinks are located in the corridors. The sink closest to our room is only a few steps from the reception/waiting area. Other guests and people checking-in/out gets to watch my show when I brush my teeth, wash my face or blowdry my hair.
The Shared Toilet and Bath - the toilet closest to our room is conveniently "out of order" so we get to share the toilet and bath of the rooms at the far side of the corridor. Its always a runway show walking on the corridor wrapped in towels to reach the far-end bathroom, while other guests are in the reception/waiting area. There are 2 toilet-rooms and 2 bathrooms in the far-end, but someone's ass exploded in one of them so all occupants of the entire floor have to share with the remaining available toilet. Bathroom soap/shampoo dispensers have molds.
The Noise - walls are as thin as cardboards and the wooden flooring, although dressed in sad carpets, screams every step of the way. You hear everything from the outside, or the snores from someone in the next room.
The Staffs - we only get to interact with the reception guy, whom we have complained about the absence of internet connection, the same guy who responded to us "if you dont like it here, you can go."
The hotel stay destroyed our trip. We ended up staying outdoors most of the time, as much as possible.

Loved the whole vibe! Very quirky, but clean and close to Fisherman's wharf. We had an updated room with shower and toilet and it was perfect! The room is a bit small, but we were ready for that! Would definitely stay again! And the price was great!

Adequate but need an overhaul.
Dirty carpet but clean room. Great coffee machine. A bit bit noisy but for the price adequate!!
