Everything was ok, I’m not sure if there were guess that where staying there. But they were smoking outside and the whole lobby smelled like weed.

The bed was soft but good. I made it through the two nights without laundry room services. I liked the cranberry juice that I had consumed on the first morning. I watched my hometown football game on the TV in my room.

It was warmer upon arrival but then it got colder due to controlled thermostat and the neighboring tenants bathroom air exhaust system was on causing the colder felt temperature all night long until checkout the next morning. I stayed in bed and in the hotel because I almost got sicker after breakfast and I was caught up with a little bit of body chills, slurred speech and since I'm anemic I was cold awhile. The thermostat was on 85 then it was 73 and I couldn't change it to go back to 85 or at 79 which is ok, endurable temperature of heat setting for me. The radio was full of static and channels were not working well enough for my listening pleasure as planned and as I have desired.

The staff was helpful. We asked for extra blankets - 5 minutes later we had them. We had a late check out - no hassle.

The property was close to Magnificent Mile and shopping and food. It was old and nostalgic with old Chicago charm.

If you are into all the fancy amenities than this is not for you. If you are into comfort and old fashion charm it hits just right. Small elevator, noisy pipes, fussy heating system but I loved the charm.

Perfect for a quick getaway with me and my husband. I would stay here again.

The location was perfect, I walked to get breakfast and was so close to all shops and attractions.

The staff were all very nice, helpful and professional. The location was great, easy access to a RSNA bus even though the hotel was not an official RSNA hotel

The air control in my room didn't work and I woke up the first night in a pool of sweat. The second night an attempt was made to fix my air conditioning but it failed and I had to switch rooms and I didn't get into my new room until after 10pm. The new room I was given the air worked better but not great, it took literally all night to cool down and though I didn't wake in a pool of sweat, I only slept with a sheet on since the room was too warm for anything else. My colleagues in other rooms didn't have any issues with their air, I just got the only two rooms that didn't work great apparently.

Decent hotel for decent price in great area

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed is one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept on. Free breakfast is amazing, not many other hotels around the area offer that.

The conditioner in the shower was completely empty, only 2 towels in the room, pillows were pretty terrible considering the bed itself was so comfortable.

Ok stay, needs some work

Good location. Breakfast was good even though the sign said pancakes but it was French toast, not a fan. Need to remember to provide pepper not just salt. Floor was quiet, thank goodness! No outside noise from cars, planes, etc., as we were on the 10th floor. Please see the "what didn't you like"!

The ultimate worse part of our stay and this hotel was the valet parkers standing right outside the main front door smoking not only cigarettes but WEED! Seriously, right in front of the door! Absolutely disgusting, you could smell it all the way down the sidewalk! Why would anyone want someone that smells like a skunk sitting in their car to move it and leaving that smell behind, in their car! Needs to be rules with the staff! The other disappointment was the lighting in the room. Half of the lights did not work. Only the 2 lamps on the nightstands worked. None on the ceiling. The bathroom lights were awful, you could barely see at the bathroom counter/vanity. Difficult for the girls trying to apply makeup. And the alarm clock was across the room instead of on the nightstand, makes no sense. The fridge was not cold. We even turned it all the way to coldest, still never got any cooler for our food. The other cabinet under the TV, when we opened up the door, there was no bottom to the cabinet looked like it had been torn apart due to water damage or something. Wood was ruined looked like water or mold or something. Breakfast started at 0630, we got down there at 0625 and security sort of yelled us not to go in and to give them 5 more minutes. Weird but OK. We stood there for 5 minutes, no one came out to tell us we could go in, so we walked in. Absolutely no one in site, so not sure why that was a big deal that we were 5 minutes early!!! Parking was pretty far away when carrying luggage. The associate at the front desk told us to take a picture of our license plate and then give it to him. He said when we leave the park deck it scans the plate number and we will be able to leave since the hotel charges the parking on my credit card and we wont have to do it in the parking deck. However, that was not the case. Nothing scans your license plate. We had to hit the "need assist" button on the machine when trying to leave. The assist.

It was a good experience but I wouldn’t book there again

The location is great. Some of the staff were lovely. The room was very clean. It was very quiet most of the time.

Despite asking for housekeeping, no one cleaned our room the first day and they had to be asked to restock anything. When I pay that amount for a room, I don’t want to ask every day for tea and shampoo and towels. There’s a lot broken in that room, including an outlet that is coming out of the wall. Also, join the 21st and have usb chargers by the beds. The bathroom is outdated and needs some serious upgrades.

Great location close to the Magnificent Mile (Michigan Av). Good breakfast and friendly staff. Not the newest hotel but decent.

Expected much better for the price charged,

The breakfast was too basic. The staff were not friendly and appeared to scowl all the time. My security deposit has not been returned even after 16 days after the check-out. The hotel is run down and too highly priced for what it has to offer.

Overall good combo of location, features and value

Location is good, particularly for anything involving Loyola or upper end of Michigan Ave. Staff was friendly and helpful. My room had decent amount of bathroom and counter space which is not easy to come by in Chicago/NYC rooms. Close to Red Line (Chicago stop) Was good price on booking. AC worked really well. Room had good blackout curtains. Had mini fridge

The room decor felt a little dated, but not a big deal. Biggest complaint was that the room felt a little dark at night. The shade lamp on one side of bed was fairly bright but desk lamp on other side wasn’t so it could have been a little brighter

Ruined a very special weekend staying here, worst stay I have ever experienced.

The location was great being close to the strip. The structure and the bones of the building were nice.

The breakfast was terrible. Flavorless boring and cold!! They had pastries to eat but those were very cold with no way to toast them up. Not many tea options and no non diary options of milk or creamer. So all I could eat was potatoes and bacon. They served their pancakes with honey. Who does that??? It was wrong on so many levels. I was left with a faulty furnace all weekend and no one believed me until we had a high up guy come read the code at the very end of my visit. So I slept like crap. The beds were weird. The pillows sucked. This hotel had 23 stories and only two luggage carts…. It’s absolutely bogus. That is not enough for anyone to run a hotel. We were forced to carry all of our stuff. And mind you we have two toddler daughters we were there celebrating their birthdays. So we had 2 suitcases, 6 bags and a ton of extras and shopping bags plus their stroller to manage… it was a nightmare!!! And no one at the hotel cared. They just wanted us out asap…

Charming hotel but I was given an adjoining room and door to the other room was unlocked when I arrived & there were other guests in the other room. Not the welcome I expected but it worked out. It would be great for the hotel to have a place to purchase water, snacks or have those items available in the room.

The hotel emailed asking if this was a special occasion, it was our 38th anniversary , and then they did nothing ??? , The air conditioning unit was really noisy, there was no safe in the room, then they installed a safe the morning we were checking out ??? 🙁

Ok, the location was or is the only reason I would come there again for a short stay only.

The location was great and places I wanted to go were in walking distance.

The staff was okay, the most helpful person was the young lady that assisted me with getting a taxi to the airport. The breakfast selection did not have alternative options for guest that do not eat pork products. And the shower head in the bathroom needs some maintenance.
