Very bad experience waste of my money

Furniture is old the water was cold had to report it thr bathroom are tiny and the tv is old everything in it is old stuff no even YouTube and the carpet it dirty

Great Location

Check-in, very easy. Walking from the South Shore train line was easy-breezy. 10% off next door at eateries was nice. We liked the view of the statues across the street and the museum campus. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic. The location was perfect for a nice walk to Wintrust Arena for a show (about a mile) or an easy hop onto the CTA bus, the CTA train wasn't too far away either at Roosevelt.

The bed was a little too firm for our liking, a mattress topper would have been preferred. The furniture looked dirty but actually it appeared that the cleaning supplies they use are striping some of the wood finish off, making it look hazy and not clean. The gap under the door was so large that you see feet walk past in the hallway.

Convenient to local spots

The bed was very hard & tilted down by headboard so was uncomfortable to sleep. The honking & continued noise from outside street was bad into the early morning. There was nothing major going on for it be happening.

Good location but the rooms need upgrading.

The location was good close to many attractions and good restaurants.

The rooms need upgrading. Also there was a robbery the day I was there. It was during the protests in the restaurant right next door connected to the hotel and bakery downstair to the hotel. A family with 4 kids were robbed by 3 men in broad daylight right as I was going in to grab a table for lunch. Even in good neighborhoods crime is high in Chicago.

Nothing at all

I paid for two queen beds, but it was two twin beds. The door was broken. The lights went out when we first got there. It was like a burn patch in the floor. The room is a two out of 10 would never go back then parking oh my God, it's $60. I would not dare go There again

Bathroom needed repairs the area of the wall the shower curtain was attached to was pulled away from the wall and the tub drain kept closing, hallways on our floor were dirty and walls were dingy.

Property was very clean, staff was super friendly and helpful, also perfectly placed to see lots of attractions.

Did not notice during the making of our reservation that there was a charge for valet parking. Thankfully we contacted the hotel before our stay about parking, and then they notified us of the charge.

Nice cozy hotel, great location and decent price

Great location, comfortable and cozy room, spacious room, friendly staff, attached French bakery with delicious pastries/coffee and 10% discount for hotel guests. We would like to thank the hotel for assigning us a corner room, which had a set of windows along the walls and allowed us to enjoy the amazing view of the downtown buildings and Lake Michigan. We stayed for a week and truly enjoyed our room.

No microwave in the room. No laundry service (that seems to be a downtown Chicago issue, not this hotel specifically), there’s no laundry service around, so plan accordingly or use app.

Ideal location.

I was attending the rugby game at Soldier Field and the hotel was ideally located. Additionally there were plenty of restaurants and bars in the immediate neighbourhood where supporters mingled. There were also parks and other tourist attractions within walking distance. Staff were courteous and helpful.

Very little. I was aware of the traffic noise from the nearby Michigan Ave. but it wasn't an issue.

9th floor disappoint

Not much.

The old scuffed furniture is 1st; then a bath/shower with NO grab bars; the tiniest hygiene items; the outlets on the table lamp between beds were broken. All carpet in rooms & hallways was either not clean or too old; and the staff needs some additional training. The amenities didn't mention $58/night only valet.

The stay for the most part was ok, but the shower was absolutely awful and needs to be fixed!!

The location was great to get basically anywhere. The breakfast places in the building and around were great!

There was no in between on the water. You either had a cold shower or scalding hot shower!! I couldn’t bathe my kid!! There was no way to give him a bath, there was no stopper. There wasn’t an ice bucket in the room.

Location!

Location! Meet our needs and what we are looking for. Easy access to public transportation. Walkable to museums campus. Walkable to a few restaurants and grocery stores. The staff is nice and friendly. There is a microwave at the lobby to use, a coffee station, free water and sometimes they put out fruits.

Unfortunately for me the bed and pillow were not comfortable, but it was just me. Family is fine with it. There were only 3 sets of towels (bath, face and hand towels) but we booked for 4 pax. Also, only 3 pillows on each bed 🤔 but staff are good at providing once you requested for extra. A/C position to close to bed, right at your head area but that might be just in our room.

Well, the Location is spectacular, that Lakefront/Grant Park area of Downtown Chicago offers a unique visiting experience, that contrasts the very busy North Loop/Miracle Mile local of Downtown Chicago. Our 2 rooms had adequate amenities/service .All the Hotel staff was very courteous and helpful. It was very cool that many of the Staff spoke Spanish. No complaints or issues with our Beds or bedding, everything was comforting. Also, the Front Desk staff had excellent follow through with questions, requests and concerns.

Best Western Grant Park has a good location, which is why we booked here.

I would be hesitant to book at Best Western Grant Park again. Parking was a big hassle; it was probably our fault for not looking more clearly at the "paid parking" details before coming (I had assumed there was an on-site garage that we could use for a reasonable fee). Facilities were limited and elevators were slow; it seemed that there was only 1 working ice machine and you had to go to the gym for drinking water...but at least it was possible to get water. Breakfast was available for a discount in a restaurant in the hotel building, but to get the discount you had to spend more than $20 per person, which was not a particularly good deal. For my family and our circumstances (as past of a road trip visiting Chicago area universities on a tight timeline), this was not a good option.

Good but bad timing

Very close to all the best places. Views at night are beautiful.

Best views of the city are blocked by the building adjacent. The view of the lake isn't very noticeable, it is more the view of Grant Park. Came during the time of the NASCAR street races and most of the roads were blocked including the sidewalks as well as the Buckingham fountain and the Bean.
