I dont like that they dont have parking at the facility. And parking is too far away to be walking if it is not nice outside

The bed was so comfortable and clean. The shower was excellent. I'd definitely come back to this specific location.
The view was slanted and kind of weird and some people on the floor were smoking weed inside their rooms which was annoying

It’s a classic, centrally located hotel sitting right on the banks of the river. The staff are very efficient and friendly and there is nearby public parking.
Some of the rooms have a view of an enormous Trump sign on a gaudy dilapidated tower. It needs to be removed, as it tends to nauseate.

Clean, professional front desk staff.
The housecleaning came 3 x before 10 am knocking on door and waking me not explaining why and lacked English skills.

Great for solo travel, smack bang in the middle of everything you want downtown Chicago, also so easy to get to a Blackhawks game.

Complimentary room upgrade was phenomenally hospitable. The views were unparalleled. The river, lake, and city were all visible from various windows. The room had character, and charm.
Elevators only go to the 38th floor and our room was on 41. The stairs were steep, and winding which was difficult to navigate while drunk and exhausted after performing a gig. However it was only a minor inconvenience for 2 able bodied adults.

I extended one more day from 13-14, o and the service provided by Tony at reception was fantastic.
The room curtain was torn and dirty. No tissue paper. Asked for a luggage racks and two more towels. Didn’t
Arrive after 24hrs despite chasing for 2-3 times. Poor services.

Very good location with great views if you are looking out on the river. Bed was comfortable and coffee machine a welcome sight.
Bathroom was a bit dated and stains on chair. Building lifts were very slow.

The location is perfect. Some major attractions, including the bean, are located nearby the hotel. The train stations are also pretty accessible from the location.
The two elevators of the hotel stopped working for several days, and a hotel staff operated one elevator manually from inside the elevator. This resulted in significant delay in getting the elevator to different floors. I would suggest the hotel to be better prepared for such contingencies.

Great location. The gym and laundry facilities are welcome. Staff were friendly.
The room was unclean: white fluid from the bedside table (I’ll leave you to work out what it is); the room was very dusty. No other rooms were available so reception sent a cleaner up and I was refunded $60 for the first night. The rooms are dated, there are burn marks in the carpet. The lifts are rickety and one was out of order. This is disappointing given that some of these concerns have been raised repeatedly and not dealt with. The windows also let in significant noise (police sirens, shouting, partying). In contracts to the CQ New York hotel I stayed in, I did not enjoy my stay and it was overall very poor value for money.

The location
Overpriced hotel (250$ per night/room). The room was pretty small for the price!! Some of the towels had black spots (just throw them away and buy new ones!!). The lift was extremely slow. The only good thing was the location.

Before getting there I was wondering why the price was half of what you'd pay at the hotels next door. This was the heart of Chicago, on the Riverwalk, with breathtaking views and the convenience of having everything so close. When we got there I understood: the hotel does not have ultra modern decoration or high-tech facilities. It's a vintage hotel, with lots of wood and furniture that has been there for quite some time - but very clean, functional and in excellent condition. We loved it. It felt real. I was pleasantly old fashioned, which matches the outside of the building: a historical landmark of the city. If we go back to Chicago, this will be our place again.

There was nothing to dislike.

1 elevator didn’t work.. the legs of the sofa bed was broken so we had to change rooms at midnight which was very inconvenient

The staffs Paula, Mindy, and most of other staffs are very friendly and helpful. I also like the coffee, tea and water which are free to take when needed. The location is close to Purdue which it’s convenient for us to help my child to move in to the dormitory. I did have early check out on Aug. 20th because we changed our travel plan. Mindy kindly suggested me to contact Booking.com so that Booking can check with Hampton to refund some amount to me. Really appreciate all the support.
In general, the breakfast is pretty nice. Since we stay at the hotel for 7 days till Aug. 20 (combine with another booking), the food combinations are quite fixed. It will be nice if there are more variations for people who stay longer. Thank you.

1) Location (Riverwalk, Magnificent Mile, Art Institute, theatres...) 2) You can fill your bottles of purified water at each floor 3) Comfortable but informal lobby where you can have access to free coffee or tea 4) Sofa in family room with kitchenette is comfortable, at least for people around 50 kg weight. 5) Friendly and efficient staff 6) Management of baggage deposit. 7) Very comfortable beds.
Well, we were afraid about the elevators because of the other reviews but, maybe as we were not there at weekends or had different schedules from other customers, we experienced a queue just once in six days (16th floor).
Bathroom a bit old and cupboard door not cleaned.

This is a great location right on the river, only 2 blocks from the El. I appreciated that the hotel website gave a self-park option and instructions. The garage was a short walk (5 min) away, and it saved us a lot of money to not valet.
We stayed in a 2nd floor room, which was small, but fine. However, the room was dusty. Dust on the wall near the air vent, dust on the power bank by the bed.

What I like is the location. Closest to everything!
Just the shower curtain in the washroom and the water pressure is so slow when taking a shower.

This is the greatest location for visiting Chicago. The staff are great. Room was super clean and well-appointed and QUIET! I slept really well. The nespresso coffee was a great bonus.
Nothing. The bed was comfy but felt a little worn. But again, this was quite minor. Overall it was good!

The location was amazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, the bathroom was clean. I was very thankful that there were rooms available on such a short notice. This would be a good place to stay if you only needed a room to sleep in and not spend a lot of time in.
There was only one working elevator for 38 floors. The only parking available was a public parking garage that was about a 10 minute walk away for $30 a day, and that was with ticket validation. I didn't see anywhere on the booking site where that would be the case. Could have been an oversight on my part, though. The room was small, very small, and outdated. And if you are running late because you are stuck in traffic, be sure to call the hotel and let them know otherwise they will cancel the reservation.
