The staff were very friendly and warned us about a snowstorm, so we were able to cancel for free. When we booked the accommodation again, everything was wonderfully comfortable. There was also a small selection of breakfast items.

You could provide a little more information about check-in. I thought the price-to-value ratio was a bit too high.

The location is great: Pristine nature, very quiet, but not far from the town of Tadoussac. There was a nice view from our room on the frozen lake. I found the place great for off-trail skiing. (There are no groomed ski trails, but that was not a problem for us.) There is a snowmobile trail passing through the property, but we saw very few snowmobiles passing. The facilities are also great: c;lean, spacious, warm and comfortable.

There were problems with access to the internet. It was frequently off for hours. The problems increased as more guests arrived at the location. This was problematic also because the cellphone signal is not too strong at this location. When the internet was down, we had to walk around the building to catch the cell signal. Otherwise, we would not have any contact with the outside world. If you book a room with breakfast, do not expect much in terms of food. The breakfast was self-served. There were some supplies in the kitchen. We rationed them, as long as we were alone in the building. Once other people arrived, all food disappeared within minutes and was not ressuplied for at least two days (the remainder of our stay.).

The location was great, with a view onto a beautiful lake (if you get the right rooms). The access was easy and parking was plenty. The access to a kitchen was nice (but no public fridge space).

They have one room in the category of "double rooms" that CLEARLY should not be in the same category or price range as the others. I understand that often, in multi-room places, photos on booking sites will show a mix of different room photos and you'll be assigned one at random. BUT ALL rooms in the category should have all the amenities listed. The first room my husband and I were put in (Room#4) would've maybe been a nice $60-$80 room, not $100: very small, clean, space to walk on either side of the bed, small windows looking into the parking lot, a TV, and a shower that pressure-fluctuated between freezing cold and boiling hot. I double-checked the booking description and the rooms are described with a fireplace, fridge, and access to lakefront patio and view. I went back to the office and the clerk said there was nothing he could do tonight as all rooms were booked, but tomorrow when someone checked out of Room#2 we could move in there for the balance of our 4-night stay. So, for the one night we had to keep our food and drink items in the car to stay cool (this would've been impossible if it was summer), gaze out our tiny window, and endure very uncomfortable showers after our long drive from Montreal. Room#2 the next morning was a different story (and all the other rooms I got to peek in as people/cleaners came and went); beautiful. If we have been stuck in Room#4 the whole time and I ever got a chance to see the other rooms....SUPER ANNOYED. SHOULD NOT BE IN THE SAME CATEGORY OF ROOM. Room#2 was very nice, except for the fireplace which was a nice decor item, but didn't actually work. Firstly, there are no instructions anywhere as to how to get it to function (which, after a trip up to the office to enquire, ended up being a 3-step process that I'm not sure who would be able to divine all on their own).

We arrived after the time window that they gave, got the key from the cabinet and found our room. View of the room is gorgeous and it was clean.

The minimum expectation as a traveller is to be able to take a shower. This is not a convenient thing here since the water temperature is not consistent. It kept going from boiling water to ice water any minute. Beside that, the breakfast which is included in the price, was nothing more than 3 packages of expired bread (more than a month past) and some cold options. Coffee was almost finished and we ended up eating out paying extra!
