The Sherry Netherland

I liked the staff, the common areas, the room, and the location. Harry Cipriani restaurant was outstanding. I would not hesitate to visit the Sherry-Netherland again.

Nothing comes to mind.

Scaffolding on the external facade. Apartment block really & restaurant staff not that friendly when we wanted to get a drink.

This hotel forgets it’s in the hospitality business. Part of this hotel in the building are tenants. The front office is simply that. It’s not welcoming or helpful or gracious, but simply business is business. I was very disappointed after notifying the hotel that they have double charge my credit card at including tax $900 a night when it wasn’t authorized and took me 10 days to get the money back with my bank’s help. there are a lot of people in the front lobby who aren’t necessarily working, but chatting back-and-forth and sort of like a very employee break room chatter. I have stayed at other hotels in New York, which are much more welcoming, clean, updated, elegant customer oriented for a third the price there is a restaurant attached to the hotel, which is lovely, but I know Way seamlessly works through the hotel I strongly suggest you look at other hotels before booking this hotel.
