Great little family hotel located across from some nice restaurants

The room was ready upon arrival, however I thought I had an ocean front balcony, instead it was a street view balcony....really?! Basically told too bad, so sad when asked for the correct room type.
The pool area gate didn't work, there was no sign so all the guests were banging on the gate trying to force it to open.
The room had very dirty carpet, food and trash was under the desk, bed and drawers. The basic pathway was vacuumed.
