The restaurant was closed for renovations

The sink was plugged in the bathroom and the toilet didn’t flush very well. Then the lights went out. It was a blackout for two hours from nine until 11:30 the electricity finally came back on when it was time to go to sleep

Overall, this place was good. Not having food available and no knowing was disappointing.

The view was fantastic. Bed comfortable. Room was fine, clean. Check in was easier than check out.

Restaurant was under repair. We picked that property because it had a restaurant and pub so that was disappointing to not know ahead of time. Asked for a receipt. Was told "no" because I booked thru booking.com

Convenient but very average

We arrived late on the ferry from Prince Rupert (1.30am). Fortunately they were open and reception was friendly. Room was good size. Bed reasonably comfortable

No restaurant for breakfast. Would have been nice to have been offered some fresh milk to make a cup of tea in the morning

Great location with balcony overlooking the marina and harbour.

The location was excellent. We especially enjoyed the large covered balcony and the opportunity to watch the working waterfront in action.

We were disappointed to find that the restaurant and pub were unexpectedly closed as we had chosen the hotel so that we didn't have to drive out for meals.

Disappointing stay

A lovely view from our room

When we arrived we read a notice on reception saying that the restaurant and bar had closed down. When we asked about there being no restaurant the receptionist was not forthcoming with other dining suggestions apart from a few places that were a drive away. We explained that we did not have a car. We then asked about the hotel a short walk away and then she made enquiries for us. We were able to get some dinner at the next door hotel (fried food) and had to find out ourselves if we could get breakfast there the following morning which we did. The room was tired. No bottled water in the rooms but we managed to find a shop which sold liquor and water. The receptionist also asked for $200 deposit for any damages! Thankfully it was only one night stay! This hotel is still being advertised with a very good restaurant on your site. We booked this hotel as we thought all our requirements for a one night stay would be catered for. Very disappointing and a very bad experience. At check out next morning, a very pleasant receptionist greeted us when paying our bill. She said that the closed restaurant was a totally separate business and the room rate was still the same.

Having a balcony with a harbour view, watching fishing boats and fog roll in, sunsets, stars, sunrise, seals and bird life

No A/C but didn’t need it for our stay. Breakfast not included. Charged $200 damage deposit fee on top of the booking and took days to refund the deposit.

Beautiful View; Comfortable Room

The property is located on the harbour with beautiful views from the room. It was wonderful to have a balcony to step out onto to enjoy the views, as it was ever changing. The room was comfortable & clean & we appreciated having a microwave, mini-fridge & coffee machine. The front desk staff were polite, professional & helpful.

Adequate place to stay overnight when catching the ferry.

view from room of harbour was excellent. Room was comfortable. Very handy for getting ferry early in the morning.

Restaurant was chaotic and the quality of food was poor. The access to the rooms is via external walkways which would not be good in bad weather.

The staff have always treated us extremely week when we are in town, and the restaurant and bar are always great value.

The inn was a wonderful stay, with the views of the water and mountains, and attached restaurant.

The staff were very helpful. Beds were comfy and lots of linens. The view of the ocean, the mountains, the eagles, the seals and the tide coming in and going out was absolutely wonderful. The restaurant that was attached to the inn served great food.

When we booked through booking.com, it stated that we had a kitchenette. The inn did not know anything about this.

Pleasant stay for a couple of nights with amazing views across to Bear Cove

Very comfortable and good value for money compared to other places.

Bit out of town and pretty tired in places. Bathrooms could do with refurbishing and restaurant and bar a bit soulless. Most of the staff really nice and helpful.

This was a good, reasonably priced place to stay with all rooms having a harbour view.

The restaurants, up and down, were staffed by very friendly servers. The food was not fancy, but had a family restaurant vibe. The hotel is older, but the room was very clean and again, members of the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The restaurant service was slow , when it takes nearly an hour to get your drinks order and then the same to get your food, while the service staff mucked around behind the bar. I wouldn’t recommend dining at the restaurant to anyone

The staff were extremely helpful. The view from our room overlooking the water was lovely. The room was spacious and had a balcony.

We had to walk 1-2 kilometres into town for meals because the motel restaurant is closed for renovation at present. We didn’t mind because it’s an interesting walk.
