Great staff, very clean and comfortable, good food
Rooms not very soundproof and I wish there was a place to hang wet coats near the door. It was VERY wet when we were there and the place to hang wet outerwear dripped all over the 2nd place to sit.

Very comfortable beds, quiet at night, nice shower with good water pressure.
The pub downstairs is also great for a drink and the staff is friendly.
The heating system is incredibly noisy; we had to turn it off at night despite the cold weather. I had read about this in other comments, it seems they haven't made the necessary arrangements yet.
When we arrived, there was a very strong smell in the room, I think it was dog smell.. We were too tired to ask for a room change. I understand it's a pet-friendly establishment, but they should disinfect and clean more thoroughly.
The cleaning staff made the bed, but left the pajamas lying on the floor (which were on the bed before)... that was just rude.

Kwa'lilas Hotel offers exceptional value for money. The hotel lobby is beautifully decorated, staff are extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are comfortable, clean, nicely appointed, seem to be recently renovated, bathroom - luxurious and modern. We had an excellent light meal in the bar and an amazing dinner in the fine dining restaurant (one of our best dining experiences in BC).

Breakfast started too late for us to eat before having to leave for the ferry. Some kind of bagged breakfast sandwich or something like that would sure be a nice thing to be offered at check-in or check-out
The bannock on the salmon bannock burger was so tough I could not cut it with a knife and could barely bite through it. This was at the pub.
The walls were thin between our room and the neighbours.
