Best price we could find during Penticton’s pricey July high season, so one might think there would be a few sacrifices. Yet not at all, just a wonderful family-run motel that accommodated us and our cat perfectly. There were no negatives so I don’t even want to phrase it this way, but it’s not the Four Seasons. As long as you’re a realist and recognize that you’re paying among the best prices available (or in our case the best!) then I don’t know how you could be anything but very pleased with everything the Sahara Courtyard Inn has to offer. We enjoyed the pool, found the staff friendly & welcoming, the room very clean, beds comfortable etc. I was a bit concerned that our room faced the fairly busy road and it was explained to us that that’s where the pet-friendly rooms are, yet we weren’t bothered by traffic noise at all. I don’t know how to explain that, but I guess the building is back far enough from the road or it’s well built, anyway even in the one area I was concerned that unfortunately it just had to be less than ideal (due to where the pet-friendly rooms are located) it was ideal. We’re looking forward to returning to the Sahara Courtyard as we have plans to come back to Penticton & the South Okanagan quite frequently.

The accommodations were okay and were clean. It is slightly off the main ideal location by the lake but the price reflected this.
It was no problem checking in and the staff were helpful with local sites.

Since we last stayed at this hotel, it has been renovated, They painted the exterior and did an amazing job on the rooms. They have new comfortable beds, best beds we slept on in a hotel in a long time. Pool is updated and very nice to swim in. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean comfortable stay
