House with swimming pool 10 min walk from Carcassonne CV, quality fittings

5 of us stayed at the property last week. It’s a fabulous house for groups or families. It is a wee bit further out from the centre of carcassonne - 30 minute walk to the castle, 20 minutes to the station, supermarket & bakery on your doorstep. River Aude 5 minutes walk & canal du midi 10 minutes walk. We found it Difficult to get taxis especially late at night - be prepared to walk! House has separate annex for extra guests, complete with bathroom. Pool is great on hot days but not heated! Handy key code access - useful for groups with differing plans! Photos of house do not do it justice - much bigger & more spacious than it appears. One bedroom is ensuite, family shower room, & separate downstairs WC. Well equipped kitchen- big fridge freezer, oven, hob, & dishwasher. Lots of hot water. Melanie or her husband were on hand if needed, via text, phone or email - recommend you brush up on your French, bring a French speaker or use google translate! Definitely recommend & hope to stay again next year

Wonderful trip. Melanie and Gerard were super hosts and Melanie always responded quickly to any questions we had. The accommodation was superb and was very well furnished. The location was great and was easy walking distance to main tourist areas. I would not hesitate to recommend, top scores! Thank you so much!

Beautiful modern house in the centre of a wonderful historic city. We were lucky enough to spend Bastille Day and celebrate the World Cup win with our French 'cousins', so our stay was perfect! The house, garden and pool were ideal for our family of teenagers. The location is only minutes to the heart of the 'new' city and a lovely 30 minute stroll to the old city. The house was spotless and close to the local supermarket and pizzeria! Melanie was very pleasant and extremely helpful and her husband let us in on the secret routes around the region. A prefect holiday!
