Location, friendly helpful staff. We had an issue getting into our first room, but the staff did not hesitate to make things right and put us into a room that made our stay the best it could be. Thank you so much Humphreys!!

Lobby and grounds are beautiful and our room was very clean and serviced each of our four days there. The weather was cool so we were not able to enjoy the pool but the hot tub was very clean and hot! We did a day trip up to La Jolla Beach to see the sea lions and a long walk on Torrey Pines State Beach - both are a must! Sunset Cliffs are nearby - saw several surfers riding waves with the sunset! San Diego is a quick drive with easy paid parking downtown....Little Italy has a great Saturday farmer's market and Balboa Park has lots to offer! Marvelous Muffins - just down the street from the hotel - was a great place to stop for delicious coffee and breakfasts to go. Lovely family run restaurant.

Location is on the marina, tropical vibes throughout the property. Prompt maid service. Spacious closet and storage space throughout the room. We appreciated the various areas to get ready.
The front desk was quite rude upon check-in, as if I was bothering them by checking in. It was the evening of NYE so the lobby was empty, and they did not make me feel very welcome, I felt I was an annoyance.
The room had a very strange smell when I walked in, and the shutters were broken so we had to sleep with the window completely exposed to anyone walking by. There were black dots on the ceiling of the shower, maybe mold? The light switch by the door did not work so I had to use my phone flashlight to figure out how to navigate through the room to turn on the light. The walls are very thin and I could hear every conversation next door.
