Excellent location! Great amenities.

Location proximity to town, ski area. Room and bathroom were clean and plenty of space.

Sofa bed somewhat uncomfortable. Room layout different from the pictures when booked.

Beautiful location and accommodations and very comfy bed.

We stayed in 8 different lodging situations over the month of July 2026, all in Colorado, and Mountain Thunder Lodge was by far my favorite. We booked a 1 BR but got a 2 BR/3 bath, room 1401 on the 4th floor, with a view of the mountains over the trees. It was clean, charming, beautifully decorated, and HUGE. The kitchen was nicely appointed with a full-size residential fridge. The bed was very comfortable. The whole place was very clean and new and quiet. We did laundry for free down the hallway, and got free detergent from the front desk. The afternoon rainstorms did indeed bring us thunder daily, which was wonderful, and being able to park in the covered secure garage was also convenient and dry, wonderful for coming and going in the rain. We used the common hot tub several times,

One of the staff in the lobby would not look up and say hello, which seems like he should have done. Otherwise the staff was awesome and helpful. The hot tub jets were non-operational for a couple of days. The elevator made a HORRENDOUS loud grinding shudder on occasion, scaring the crap out of its occupants. And the couch/sofa bed in room 1401 was terribly uncomfortable. Both my husband and I had a backache after trying to sit there. It looked great, but was a problem.
