Monte Carlo Inn Barrie - Newly Renovated

very clean and the coffee and food for breakfast was great

the room was very cold when we got there, we turned up the heat and it was fine

The staff were friendly, the room was clean

The elevator is slow, could not get a luggage cart at checkout

The jetted tub the separate bedroom, the clean sheets, the puffy pillows, the quiet room as it was on the top floor, I didn't hear my neighbours so that was top priority, the water pressure, the cozy room with the dark wall paper and the bright space, the black out blinds, the fridge, the faux leather sofa because it was easy to clean, the bath robe, the towels, I enjoyed the lemon grass body wash and creams. The front desk staff was warm and friendly and accommodating. The cleaners were so so kind too. Breakfast was okay but when I asked for the eggs breakfast I was informed that this only occurs Thursday to Sunday which was unfortunate for me because I have food allergies there was not a lot of options for me and I didn't want hard boiled egg. The cleaners were very warm and helpful. I also appreciated having my room tidied up on my second day. She made my bed even though I mentioned I just needed the towels changed I thought that was a very pleasant surprise to come back to! I checked in at 2 instead of 3 and that was nice. The size of the queen delux room was amazing. Perfect.

The limited options for food allergies as I have celiacs disease. I was not able to order food because Barrie seems to have limited options for gluten free also. The inside of the toilet and sides of the tub were not as clean as I like it but I brought cleaner and cleaned them myself. There was a bit of grime. Not bad but just for me I noticed. Otherwise the room was immaculate. I would have loved to have been able to check in earlier but I totally understand the limitations to this request. I didn't like the coffee or the creamer in the room the coffee was weak and lacked flavour. I stayed two nights and I I would have loved to have stayed an additional night but didn't want to pay 150 for the room again, but I would have stayed an additional night for 125 in that same room. The desk was a bit high for the chair provided for my height. I am 5'4 female and used the space for work during the day. It was awkward and I don't believe it was designed with your female business travellers in mind. The chair was not adjustable.
