    We have stayed at the Carriage House Hotel & Conference Centre a few times now. It's our go to whenever we have an event at the Kingshead Pub.

    Biggest impression was the staff- very professional, helpful and polite, whether it was the restaurant staff. Front desk or cleaning staff. The hotel was easy to get to, good parking, rooms were good, breakfast was wxceptional

    Pros: • location was easy to find and close to plenty of restaurants and shopping. •Free parking was nice. . • The server in Dudley’s was awesome and went above and beyond (evening of Friday Sept 25th) • The server and chef were both great in the Peanuts bar (Sept 23rd) and were attentive and provided quality food and drinks in a reasonable amount of time without being overly pushy. •king size bed was comfy and the pillows were good. •super soft robe was a nice touch •nice deep soaker tub was nice • the maintenance person was very efficient at jumping to action to get fixing the freezing temperatures and the fact the thermostat wasn’t functioning in our room which was nice to have resolved for the 2nd half of our stay. Cons: • some front desk staff made mistakes and were not willing to take accountability and instead tried to lie about what happened and accuse my travel partner of lying- was not impressed •room was absolutely freezing the first 2 days triggers a bad reaction from my autoimmune disorder • the ceiling tiles in the bathroom were moldy and gross and did not seem to be bathroom grade • the elevator kept randomly stopping on the 4th floor when no one was there and the door did not even always open for that floor when it would stop - it was unnerving as someone who has a healthy fear of elevators. •hot tub was kind of gross and the jets did not work. •did not like having to go all the way to pool then traipse all the way back to the front desk to request a pool towel rather than having them available near the pool deck. I don’t particularly enjoy walking around public in my swim suit… would be nice to have some available near the actual pool and hot tub. • was there for a conference and the wifi was really poor throughout most of it. •public washrooms were either freezing or excessively hot like a sauna in the conference area.
