Whilst room met our expectations the arrival was anything but pleasant!

The room itself was comfortable and quiet however felt like we had entered a war zone and the staff were dismissive!

Property is under massive redevelopment renovations. Arrived to find property surrounded by scaffolding and on entering the foyer it looked like a demolition site. Had to wait for construction workers to find hotel staff to check us in and when I mentioned that nobody had mentioned there would be construction workers she said booking com should of notified us but that the work shouldn’t impact us as they only work 7am to 6pm. I pointed out that I had communicated with the hotel about our arrival time, therefore they had means of communicating with us and the response was they only started this month and we booked months ago!

All together, an unpleasant stay. The room was extremely musky but the bed comfy!

The only thing I enjoyed was the mattress and location of hotel.

Upon arrival, I expected a certain price, not aware by time of payment it’d bounce up to over double the price. The hotel room had a dirty sheet and supplied no soap. If you bring your pet, be prepared to use the stairs. So let’s hope you’re not in a wheelchair or have a broken leg, as we’re not allowed in the elevator. Not to be shocked, but There’s 2 additional fees on top of the original cost!! A parking fee, and an additional pet fees. These aren’t deposits, but fees! After googling PET FRIENDLY hotel, I assumed I’d pay a deposit, not a FEE! The hotel is prohibited NON SMOKING hotel. After arriving, I returned to front desk to complain about the next room smoking cigarettes. Front desk apologized, saying it was on their clothing. No sir, he’s smoking in his room! Front desk resolved the issue by spraying FREBREEZE! 🤦🏻‍♀️ The photo below shows shampoo and conditioner I used for hand soap!

Stayed here many times before. Reliable, good location, and exactly what you’d expect for the price

The hotel itself is extremely outdated, and showing very obvious signs of wear and tear. The mattress was lumpy, but tolerable for a 1 night stay. Although only a slight inconvenience and (hopefully) an isolated incident: when I got to my room, I found 3 bottles of shampoo in the bathroom, but no soap of any kind. Not even hand soap. I called the front desk and requested soap. Someone showed up a couple minutes later with a bar of soap… and yet another bottle of shampoo.

Our tub drain wouldn’t drain, had a shower and water accumulated. Took forever for the water to drain out. I let desk staff know in hopes it gets fixed before next guest.

Not much, Booming.com could not book the correct day. When I got to the hotel I was promised that the original booking was canceled and would not be charged. Rooms and pool are from the 70s and need a renovation.

Old facility, need renos. Poor guest experience with errors in booking from Booking.com.

I do not like the bedding used… thin blanket, not a duvet and flat sheets that pull away from the mattress … fitted sheets should only be used then a top sheet.

Needs new ownership, rundown hole waste of $

The staff put up with my frustration and was as helpful and accommodating as possible

The bathtub had no drain plug that was functional, the bathroom plug-in outlet was dead for drying my hair, which is 3 feet long, the iron for RN dress clothes was broken and missing a setting knob, the TV was in operable without front desk, assistance by direction over the phone. As the elevators had no light on the buttons, you couldn’t tell where you’re going or if the elevator is coming or not. The walls are busted up from carts and things need corner protectors, the bathtub shower valve, never shut off and was dumping water all over the wall in the floor and the tub during a bath, which I plugged with a cloth. No coffee at the front desk no filtered water to drink orange water out of the tap.

Nice big tv, comfortable bed, good selection at the vending machines, and my son loved the pool.

The building is old…it is what it is. I’ve stayed here before and knew what to expect. If you can get over staying in an older building you’ll be fine. It was clean and comfortable so we were happy.

Perhaps the ugliest dated and worn hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Can not possibly hope to compete with air bnb’s. Clearly the only reason Travel Lodge gets away with this is because of its proximity to the airport.

It was like staying in a crack den

It was disgusting

Nothing was clean, repaired or comfortable. Stay away if you have any decency. There were ciggarett burns everywhere, including the toilet seat. I am sure someone must have been killed in the room I stayed in. I couldn’t get the smell of smoke out of my luggage, hair or shoes so much so I threw out the luggage. I cannot believe this travel lodge exists. I don’t leave reviews but this was so bad I slept 3 hours & just got up to leave. I was so sleep deprived I shouldn’t have driven but it was that bad I could not stay another min.

Ok but not great. No shuttle.

We did not have breakfast as we left too early to catch our plane. We were led to believe there was a shuttle, because of confusing websites, but there wasn’t, so we had to pay taxi both ways. We would’ve chosen a different hotel had we known. The hotel is tired, and a bit rundown, but clean.

See above, they claimed it was a third-party website that said they had a shuttle and a restaurant. If that is the case, then the main website should say very clearly across the top. “This hotel does not have a shuttle service to the airport.” They said it was on our fault because we used booking.com and did not book directly with them - they would have told us there was no shuttle.

Expensive for what you get.

The hotel is close to the airport with a $25 taxi ride. The lobby is very tired and run down, but the staff were very pleasant. The room was adequate with all the amenities, but needs to be updated. It seems all the hotels in Vancouver are over priced and this was one of the least expensive at just over $300 a night, which is not worth it.

The whole building is very tired and needs updating.

Breakfast are not what we wanted, 2 big bugs in room when we got there, maybe cockroaches? Door cards had to be reset everyday and thats terrible when we are handicapped and have to go up and down

hotel beds was comfortable.

hotels was run down, bed was comfortable, staff were nice doing their best. however, we felt that the through booking.com and how they are advertising didn't seems to matched up. it said there was a place to eat breakfast near the hotel. the photos of the restaurant looked amazing but when we got there , there was no restaurant, hasn't been opened since four years ago, ( from the staff) also they never re cleaned our sheets. the tag was not in the room we stayed at. breakfast was a grub a bag and go. it only have fruit bars, and small muffin and water and apples. we wanted to stay in the continental breakfast place because it showed on the photos. false advertisement. I will diffinately won't stay here again, I would rather pay extra more to get more service. Mikiko

Being able to get a room after midnight on an exceptionally busy weekend.

Paid a huge amount for a run down, noisy neighbours property with very dirty windows etc, due to being bumped off a flight not long before midnight on a weekend when cruise ships, hit concerts etc were coming to town.
