Listel Whistler, a Coast Hotel

Although my stay was very short (Only being a 1 night stay with my partner) We both very much enjoyed our time here. I want to give a special shout out to the front desk lady who helped us out through out our entire stay, being Kate. She was very kind and accommodating from the get go. This is a perfect example of how efficient staffing makes a huge difference in someone’s overall experience. She even went out of her way to see if they could find my lost item, which ended up being found later. The bed and room were very clean and tidy and the AC was working perfectly fine too. The TV was also massive which was nice to watch shows on. I also have to mention how close this hotel is to the whistler village, as it’s essentially less than a 5 minute walk and you’re there. I also appreciate how this hotel is just sort of off to the side so it’s not in a crazy busy area, it’s abit more lowkey. The hot tub was also very nice to experience, and although we didn’t use the Vodka tasting room, it’s nice that it’s there. They also have a coffee and water station in the front desk lobby.

I really don’t have many complaints, I’d love to stay there again. I should mention that parking per night is about $30 CAD. This seems to be the standard rate at most of these hotels in whistler. The good thing is, you’re able to leave your car in the parking lot until 3pm of the day youre checking out without any additional charges. My only minor complaints are, the parking area did not seem too nice. It seemed like a warehouse parking lot and didn’t have a very good vibe in general. I didn’t really feel 100% safe leaving certain belongings in the parking area, but in the end everything was fine. The cleaning staff also seem to knock quite a lot in the morning, so my partner and I were disturbed more than a few times while asleep due to obnoxious / persistent loud knocking asking if we needed cleaning, which I understand is their job but if you don’t want to be disturbed during your sleep, I’d recommend leaving the “Do not disturb” paper hanger outside your door. All together though these things didn’t bother me enough though to deter me from coming again. More so just a heads up to anyone going
