Zoals de naam zegt is het een herderswoning. ik was er bij redelijk hoge temperaturen. de cottage is mooi gelegen op het noorden zodat de cottage lekker koel is wanneer je binnen komt. Ook is het uitzicht geweldig, vanuit de cottage meteen uitzicht over een mooie bosvallei. Ik gebruikte de cottage als uitvalsbasis voor racefietsen, mountainbiken en wandelen. de wegen zijn perfect voor de racefiets. lekker volle bak over goed asphalt zonder gaten. verder zijn er veel gravel en bos paden direct vanuit de cottage. Ook ben je met de auto binnen een uur bij mooi natuurgebieden zoals het Mullerthal, natur und geopark vulkaneifel, national park Eiffel, de moessel rivier, belgische ardennen klasieker gebied en Schonecker Schweiz.
