About this house rental
Surrounded by native forest, open meadows and rivers, the house is designed to be enjoyed together. Its distinctive architecture, inspired by southern seafaring, and its generous spaces make it ideal for large families, groups of friends or experiential stays.
The retreat has eight en-suite bedrooms, designed for deep rest for up to 18 guests. With King, Queen and Twin or Triple configurations, each room enjoys privileged views and combines the warmth of timber with the comfort needed to recharge after a day of exploration. At the heart of the house is a large central volume with a lounge, fireplace and dining area. The fully equipped kitchen, expansive windows and lake-view terraces invite guests to share long meals, spend time together or simply take in the landscape. The house also offers satellite Wi-Fi, central heating, and private parking. Throughout your stay, the house and its outdoor spaces are reserved exclusively for your group.
Outside, 45 hectares of native forest, trails, riverbanks and 400 metres of Lake General Carrera shoreline form a natural extension of the house. Direct access to the lake invites you to walk along the shore, wade into the water to fish and watch the changing colours of the sunset. The outdoor fire pit offers a place to gather around the flames and, with prior arrangement, enjoy a traditional Patagonian lamb barbecue cooked slowly over an open fire.
From the house, you can plan full-day outings to discover the San Rafael, Exploradores or Leones glaciers, explore areas of Patagonia National Park, raft down the Baker River or kayak through the Marble Caves. Each experience suits a different day, combining independent exploration with excursions led by local operators. There are also half-day options, such as horse riding through arrayán forests or kayaking down the Murta River, as well as multi-day routes for those looking to venture deeper into the mountains, towards the Torres del Avellano or places still waiting to be discovered.
Among glaciers, rivers and trails, it is worth leaving time simply to stay: enjoy a forest-bathing walk, linger over a long meal, read beside the fireplace or watch the evening settle over the lake. Four or five nights allow you to combine adventure and rest without having to change accommodation.
We are happy to help you plan your journey, recommend places and experiences according to your group’s interests, and advise you on organising groceries, transfers and activities in advance.
