About this house rental

Tucked away on the hills above the village of Rosay, on the edge of the woods and in the heart of the lush Normandy countryside, Cocoonr is pleased to offer this elegant, characterful house for rent – a true haven of peace, surrounded by a large garden with trees and a meadow.
This charming house, with a floor area of 180 m², can accommodate up to 8 guests.

The property is accessed via a small, tree-lined cul-de-sac that leads to the gate. At the entrance, a charming half-timbered outbuilding immediately sets the tone and evokes the authentic Norman character of the place. The private driveway then continues through the grounds to the main house and its private parking area.

Carefully and thoroughly renovated, the house has retained all its charm: brickwork, half-timbering, slate roofing, exposed beams and generous proportions blend with modern amenities to offer a comfortable stay all year round.

The property is laid out as follows:

– A 26 m² living room with a cathedral ceiling, the true heart of the house. With its spacious layout and exposed beams, it offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for getting together with family or friends.
– A spacious, open-plan kitchen, fully equipped with, amongst other things: an electric kettle, oven, microwave, toaster, dishwasher, hob…
– A dining room with its lattice-paned windows offers lovely views of the countryside and the surrounding greenery.
– Bedroom 1: with two single beds (90x200).
– A shower room with shower and toilet.

A stone staircase leads down to the garden level:
– Bedroom 2: with two single beds (90x200).
– Bedroom 3: with one queen-size double bed (160x200).
– A bathroom with a bath.
– A separate toilet.
– A utility room with a washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs:
– A lounge area with a TV.
– Bedroom 4: with one queen-size double bed (160x200).
– A shower room with shower and toilet.

For even greater comfort, the owners provide the following additional facilities: high chair, cot, iron and ironing board.

Outside:
The house boasts a large private garden, surrounded by greenery and opening out onto the surrounding countryside. Around 1,500 m² of outdoor space is available to guests, offering plenty of opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of the natural surroundings.
The main entrance to the house is via the 20 m² terrace and its south/south-east-facing gazebo, a particularly pleasant spot on fine days for enjoying meals al fresco.

The house enjoys a superb setting, completely surrounded by nature, nestled amongst the Normandy countryside, meadows and woodland. Its proximity to the Eawy Forest, one of the region’s largest woodlands, offers an ideal setting for lovers of nature, tranquillity, walks and hikes.

Despite this feeling of being in the heart of the countryside, the house is still close to the surrounding villages. The village of Rosay is about a ten-minute walk away, whilst Saint-Saëns is around a five-minute drive away and offers all the main shops and services needed for day-to-day life.

Activities:
– Numerous trails through the Eawy Forest, to be explored on foot, by bike or on horseback, in the heart of one of the region’s most beautiful woodland areas.
– Close to the London–Paris Greenway, a major cycle route linking Paris to London and passing through the Normandy countryside near the house.
– The Canadian Park offers the chance to see bison, wolves and other animals in a vast natural setting.
– The Cider and Traditional Crafts Museum
– Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy,
– Dieppe and the Alabaster Coast, with its impressive white chalk cliffs overlooking the English Channel, its beaches and its coastal villages.
– Buchy and its traditional market, an iconic setting for local life and the tradition of Normandy’s markets.

Transport:
If you choose to come by car, the property has a large private outdoor car park, easily accessible from the private driveway.
The car park can comfortably accommodate several cars and is reserved exclusively for the house’s occupants.

Other notes:
– Bed linen and towels are included.
– End-of-stay cleaning is included in your booking and involves preparing the accommodation for future guests. Please ensure you leave the property in a reasonably clean condition and clean any kitchen appliances after use.
– Free Wi-Fi available (fibre optic).
– Pets are not permitted in the property.
– The property is fitted with a security system comprising cameras: Two CCTV cameras are located at the entrance to the property, facing the gate and the driveway leading to the house. They do not film the outdoor areas available to guests. Another camera, located in the car park, is deactivated during stays. Other cameras are situated in private outdoor areas of the property, which are not accessible to guests and are clearly marked as such.
