PLEASE READ THE FULL LISTING BEFORE BOOKING. Rustic Memories Country Stays is an authentic rural cabin-in-the-woods experience on our working wedding & event venue outside Sparta, WI. If you want a hotel or luxury resort, this isn't it. If you love country settings, rustic spaces, privacy, woods, fires, and a real Wisconsin property, we'd love to host you at our 1904 farmhouse.
This listing is the Main House only - a standalone 1904 farmhouse on our working wedding & event venue. 2 bedrooms plus an upstairs loft, 1 full bath, sleeps up to 10: Bedroom 1 (1 double bed), Bedroom 2 (1 queen bed), and an upstairs loft reached by stairs (2 queen beds plus a futon sofa). Also included: full kitchen, cozy living/game room, wraparound porch, yard, and fire pit. Real farmhouse character - creaky floors, older fixtures, gravel roads. Since we're an active event venue, you may see wedding activity elsewhere on the property on some dates; it won't affect your private space here.
Guest access: This booking includes the Main House only - full kitchen, living/game room, both bedrooms plus the upstairs loft, 1 full bath, the porch, yard, and fire pit nearest the house. It does NOT include the Cottage or the Den - those are separate rentals on the same property. We're a working wedding & event venue, so other areas of the grounds may be in use for events depending on your dates; that space is separate from your private Main House stay.
We send detailed check-in and property information before you arrive so you know exactly what to expect. During your stay we're available by message, phone, text, or in person - we're local and respond fast. Please reach out right away if anything needs attention so we can fix it during your stay, not after.
Please come with a countryside mindset - think authentic cabin-in-the-woods, not a downtown hotel. This is a genuine 1904 farmhouse with real character (creaky floors, older fixtures), set on a rural gravel-road property surrounded by farmland and woods. Expect farm sounds, wildlife, and beautifully dark night skies - we think that's part of the charm!
