About this house rental
Casa Selmo is an Asturian village house over 120 years old located in El Valle (Carreño). It is available for rent as a whole for groups of up to 14 people: families, friends, celebrations, retreats, or simply a few leisurely days together. It’s located in the heart of the countryside and just 10 minutes from Gijón, Candás, and Avilés.
The house
Six double bedrooms, each with its own name and character:
Serena, with a balcony
Xana, the largest, for up to 3 people
Busgosu, with a view of the garden
Cuélebre, with a view of the valley
Trasgu, with a sloped ceiling
Nuberu, with a sloped ceiling, with two single beds
The common areas are the heart of the house: a living room with a fireplace, a large dining room where everyone can sit around the table, a wood-burning kitchen, and a traditional cider press. Outside there’s a garden with a barbecue, perfect for long meals when the weather is nice.
Amenities
Wi-Fi, parking, laundry service, and linens. Pets are welcome.
The Area
You’re just a stone’s throw from the beaches and cliffs of Cabo Peñas, the cider houses of Candás, and trails along the coast and through the valley. You can visit cider mills, take a surfing lesson in the area, or, on rainy days, visit the Roman Villa of Veranes. Upon arrival, we’ll give you our “Things to Do at Casa Selmo” guide, featuring our favorite restaurants, beaches, and activities.
Ideal for
Christmas and New Year’s Eve by the fire, long weekends, birthdays, family gatherings, getaways with friends, and weekend retreats or workshops.
Good to know
A security deposit of 300 € is required, which is refunded upon checkout.
Cleaning during your stay is not included (please contact us).
The house participates in the Asturias Rural Tourism Vouchers program.
