Experience a one-of-a-kind glamping getaway in The Homestead Conestoga Covered Wagon at Cherrywood Farm & Golf Club, a working farm and 9-hole golf course just outside Fredericktown, Missouri.
The Homestead is one of our two Golf View wagons, overlooking the rolling golf course landscape. This unique getaway combines the charm of country living with modern comforts, including a king bed, twin bunk beds, private full bathroom, heating, and air conditioning.
Spend your days golfing, fishing, exploring the farm, visiting the St. Francis River, or discovering nearby state parks. Then return to your wagon, relax in your Adirondack chairs, and gather around your private fire pit while enjoying the peaceful countryside.
Whether you're planning a couples getaway, family adventure, golf trip, or simply a change of scenery, The Homestead offers a comfortable home base for experiencing Cherrywood.
Traveling with family or friends? Cherrywood Farm & Golf Club has eight Conestoga Covered Wagons that can accommodate up to 32 guests when booked together. Each wagon offers its own private sleeping space and full bathroom.
Inside Your Wagon:
The Homestead comfortably sleeps up to four guests with a king bed and twin bunk beds. Your wagon has its own private full bathroom with a hot shower, sink, and toilet.
Your wagon includes:
- King bed and twin bunk beds
- Private full bathroom with hot water
- Heating and air conditioning
- Mini refrigerator
- Keurig coffee maker
- Basic coffee supplies
- Dining table with two chairs
- Bed linens and bath towels
- Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and soap
- Outdoor Adirondack chairs
- Private fire pit
There is no kitchen or microwave inside the wagon. Restaurants, takeout, and shopping are available a short drive away in Fredericktown.
Our wagons intentionally do not have Wi-Fi, encouraging guests to unplug, slow down, and enjoy time together. Cellular service varies by carrier.

Enjoy watching the farm animals, exploring the countryside, fishing, golfing, or visiting the river.
Fishing at the Pond:
Bring your fishing poles and enjoy catch-and-release fishing in our stocked pond, home to Crappie, Bass, Grass Carp, and Bluegill.
The pond is for catch-and-release fishing only. Swimming is not permitted, and guests should bring their own fishing equipment.
St. Francis River Access:
Guests can explore our shared access point to the St. Francis River through the farm pasture.
Follow the pasture to the right of the barn, passing through the gates and keeping them securely closed behind you. A second gate leads into the woods, where the river is just a short distance away.
River conditions change with rainfall and weather. Sometimes the water flows quickly and runs high, while other times it resembles a gently moving creek. Swimming, wading, and floating may not always be safe or possible.
Please use good judgment and follow the water-safety information provided in the wagon.
Farm Animals:
Enjoy watching and photographing our farm animals during your stay. For everyone's safety, please do not enter animal pastures, feed the animals, or interact with them without permission.
Golf at Cherrywood:
Make time for a round of golf during your stay! Wagon guests currently receive 50% off golf packages and golf-cart rentals.
Golf and cart rentals are booked separately. Golf carts are restricted to golf course use only, and guests should bring their own golf clubs.
Outdoor Living:
The Homestead overlooks the rolling landscape of Cherrywood's 9-hole golf course, offering beautiful views of the surrounding countryside.
Relax in your outdoor Adirondack chairs, gather around your private fire pit, roast marshmallows, and enjoy a peaceful evening under the stars.
Cherrywood is a working farm, so you may hear roosters, cattle, goats, and other farm animals during your stay. After rainfall, some areas of the property and the route toward the river may be muddy.
Free parking is provided in our designated gravel parking area rather than directly beside the wagon.
Check-In & Guest Assistance:
Check-in is self-service, so you can go directly to your wagon when you arrive, even if the golf clubhouse is closed. The Homestead has keypad entry.
We want you to have space to enjoy your stay, but we're available if you need assistance. The best way to contact us with questions about your wagon or the surrounding area is through the booking platform you used to make your reservation.
When the golf clubhouse is open, our team is also available there. The main office phone number will be included in your welcome messages.
Important Things to Know:
The Homestead is part of a working farm and an eight-wagon glamping retreat. Other guests, farm activities, and golfers may be visible or heard during your stay.
There is a level entrance from the porch into The Homestead, with one step into the bathroom. The wagon is not advertised as ADA accessible.
There is no Wi-Fi, kitchen, or microwave inside the wagon.
Quiet hours are 11 PM–6 AM. Smoking and vaping are not permitted, and pets are not allowed.
The pond is for catch-and-release fishing only, with no swimming permitted. River access is shared, and water conditions vary significantly with the weather.
