About this cottage rental
On a quiet Ramsgate street, this is a cottage made for slow mornings and evenings that unfold without a plan.
We've restored it to feel like a home rather than simply somewhere to stay.
We're Chris and Eric. Chris works as a Props Supervisor in London's West End theatre, where an eye for detail is part of everyday life. Bringing that same appreciation for craftsmanship into our own home has been incredibly rewarding, and we're delighted to share it with others.
Our two-bedroom cottage is tucked away on a quiet lane, just a few minutes' walk from Ramsgate's beach and harbour. We've designed it to be everything we look for in a home away from home.
The two generous bedrooms feature luxurious bedding, while the newly fitted bathroom combines a classic roll-top bath with a spacious rainfall shower. Throughout the house you'll find carefully chosen vintage pieces and plenty of character.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking, whether you're preparing a quick breakfast or settling in for a relaxed evening meal. You'll find everything from quality pots and pans to an ice cream maker and even Victorian jelly moulds. We've also left a selection of our favourite cookbooks to inspire you. With Waitrose just a five-minute walk away, it's easy to pick up everything you need. There's filtered drinking water straight from the kitchen tap, along with a beautifully designed Aarke sparkling water maker if you prefer your water with a little fizz.
The open dining and living space is designed for spending time together, whether that's sharing dinner around our mid-century dining table with its eclectic collection of tableware or simply relaxing after a day exploring the coast.
Outside, there are private gardens at both the front and back of the house. Enjoy breakfast and lunch among the plants out front in the morning sunshine, then move to the rear garden for drinks in the evening as the sun begins to set.
When the weather turns cooler, curl up in the living room with the log burner lit, put on your favourite film or series, and settle in for a cosy evening.
