About this cottage rental

This lovely Georgian dog-friendly house, half a mile from Nairn Beach, is ideal for families or friends looking for a peaceful coastal retreat from which to explore the Moray Firth. Explore Nairn and stop by one of the many tempting cafes, including one overlooking the pretty harbour. Nearby attractions reflect the history, culture and natural beauty of the area. Visit the Culloden battlefield, only 12 miles away, and afterwards, continue on to discover the many restaurants, shops, galleries and the castle at the Highland capital of Inverness, 18 miles away. Apart from the beautiful beaches at Nairn and East Nairn, nearby Findhorn Beach, 16 miles away, is a must-visit destination for water sports, sailing activities and wildlife spotting. Otherwise, relax with a gentle day exploring the delightful Cawdor Castle and Gardens or Brodie Castle and Estate, both within 10 miles.

Step into the entrance hall of this elegantly styled property, with furnishings, decor, and calming hues that reflect its coastal location and surrounding natural beauty. Downstairs, you’ll find a handy super-king-size bedroom with plenty of storage space, and a bathroom with an original cast-iron roll-top bath, a separate shower, and a WC, providing plenty of choice for guests' sleeping arrangements. Also on the ground floor is a charming kitchen/dining area featuring exposed wooden ceiling beams. The kitchen boasts plenty of attractive wood finishes and has all the appliances you need to cook up a storm. Enjoy eating unhurried meals together in the restful and thoughtfully decorated dining area. After dinner, head through to the welcoming and homely lounge, which has plenty of sumptuous seating to relax into while you catch up on the day’s events or watch your favourite programme on the TV. A wood burner is the centrepiece, ensuring a warm, snug ambience. Head up the stairs from the hallway to the first floor, where you can drift off to sleep in one of two splendid double bedrooms, one of which features an additional daybed, but can only accommodate a maximum of two people. Completing the interior of this attractive property is a shower room with a WC.

Head outside to the enclosed, pretty, gravelled front garden, where there is seating and a table, making this the ideal spot for a morning coffee or afternoon tea. There is private parking available.
