About this house rental
We built 'Where The Four Cubs Roam' to be the kind of place we'd want to stay in the Smokies.
It’s a modern mountain chalet with year-round views, a private hot tub, fire pit, covered deck, and a floor-to-ceiling fireplace, all less than 5 minutes from Gatlinburg.
The views are the first thing you’ll notice. During the day, you can see the mountains and Anakeesta. At night, the Gatlinburg lights come alive in the distance. And because the view isn’t dependent on the leaves being on the trees, you can enjoy it in every season.
Inside, we wanted the chalet to feel modern and comfortable without losing that mountain feel. The vaulted ceilings, large windows, warm wood, and floor-to-ceiling fireplace give the main living area a big, open feel while still making it a cozy place to come back to after a day in the Smokies.
The kitchen is fully equipped if you’d rather stay in for a night. There’s an espresso machine and regular coffee maker, air fryer, dishwasher, cookware, dishes, utensils, wine opener, and everything else you’ll need.
Outside is where I think it really shines. Start the morning with coffee on the covered deck, spend the afternoon in the hot tub, grill dinner, then finish the night around the fire pit with the mountains in the background.
There are TVs in both bedrooms, so everyone has a place to unwind, and the property comfortably accommodates 2–3 vehicles, with room for up to 4 depending on size.
Why “Where The Four Cubs Roam”?
This one has a story.
While we were building the chalet, a mama bear and her four cubs started making regular visits to the property. We saw them over and over throughout construction, and eventually it felt like they were growing up right alongside the cabin.
So when it came time to name the place, Where The Four Cubs Roam just felt right.
You may not get a visit from the bears during your stay—but if you do, please enjoy them from a safe distance. 🐻
Location:
You’re close enough to Gatlinburg to be there in minutes, but far enough away that you can come back to the chalet and actually relax.
Restaurants, shops, attractions, Anakeesta, and everything else that makes the Smokies a popular getaway are all within easy reach. Then at the end of the day, you can leave the crowds behind, head back up the mountain, pour yourself a drink, and watch the Gatlinburg lights from the deck or hot tub.
This place was built to be enjoyed, not just photographed.
