About this house rental
The main house has two comfortable lounges to gather in, both with big mounted TVs, plus a full kitchen ready for group cooking — Keurig included for easy mornings. Out back, a second building has been turned into a full-on hangout: a wall of vinyl records with a working turntable, an acoustic guitar for anyone who plays, and a shelf of board games for rainy afternoons. Step through to the covered patio, where a wicker dining set and lounge seating sit under a ceiling fan — the shadiest, breeziest spot on the property for a slow afternoon.
Outside, the property really opens up. A wide gravel yard gives the group room to spread out, and from the patio a scenic wooden bridge crosses the levee — grassy, palm-lined, with open Delta water views the whole way, down to your own private dock.
Sleeping
Three bedrooms sleep up to 7 guests, each with its own AC unit or mini-split so everyone stays comfortable no matter how hot the Delta summer gets, plus mounted TVs for a lazy-morning cartoon or late-night movie.
Made for groups
Fire pit with seating, two grills (gas and charcoal), two picnic tables, a basketball hoop, a porch swing, and a two-car garage round out a backyard built for a crowd. Wheelchair-friendly ramp access and grab bars in the bathrooms make this an easier stay for guests who need it, too.
Getting out on the water
You're minutes by boat from Frank's Tract State Recreation Area, the Delta's favorite sandbar hangout for swimming, rafting up, and watching the sunset. Cruise the famous Delta Loop past Bethel Island, Discovery Bay, and Oakley, or pull up to Sugar Barge Resort & Marina for a tiki-bar lunch and live music on the water. Back on land, Discovery Bay is a quick drive for restaurants, shops, and a yacht club marina scene, and Brannan Island State Recreation Area has beaches and trails for an easy day trip. History buffs can check out Big Break Regional Shoreline in nearby Oakley, with trails and a Delta heritage visitor center. Wine lovers are about 45 minutes from Lodi Wine Country, and it's roughly an hour to Sacramento or downtown Walnut Creek/Concord for a change of pace. The Bay Area and San Francisco are about 90 minutes away, making this a genuine escape without being out of reach.
