Just 5.5 miles away lies Gatehouse of Fleet, a charming town on the edge of the Galloway Forest Park, where you’ll find a selection of welcoming pubs, cafés and restaurants. Venture further to Carstramon Wood (8.5 miles), a magical spot carpeted with bluebells in spring, or explore the rugged landscapes surrounding Cairnsmore of Fleet (12 miles), a Munro-style peak set amidst remote uplands, moorland and scenic trails.
