Welcome to Afra Arctic – your private retreat in the vast wilderness of Lapland.
Our modern glass cabin is located around 20 minutes from Sodankylä, near Mount Oratunturi, surrounded by untouched nature, open landscapes and exceptional tranquillity. With almost no light pollution, it offers excellent conditions for experiencing the Northern Lights right from your accommodation on clear nights.
The heart of the cabin is its large heated glass roof. Watch the sky, the stars and, with a little luck, the Northern Lights without even leaving the warmth and comfort of your bed.
In addition to the sleeping area beneath the glass roof, the cabin features a separate bedroom, providing extra space and privacy for couples, families or small groups. A private kitchenette gives you the freedom to prepare your own meals and enjoy your stay at your own pace.
One of the highlights is your own private outdoor sauna. Enjoy the warmth of a traditional Finnish sauna followed by the crisp Arctic air – completely in private, with no shared wellness facilities and no other guests around.
Outside, you have your own private area with a fire pit. The south-facing terrace offers uninterrupted views across the surrounding landscape and is the perfect place to relax, especially during Lapland’s long, bright summer days.
Here, you are surrounded by the nature of Finnish Lapland. In winter, you may encounter reindeer nearby, while summer brings almost endless daylight. Lakes, forests and the distinctive landscapes of northern Finland are right on your doorstep.
